Platinum is acutally a very poor conductor and there are far better performance characteristics from a standard copper plug. The ONLY advantage to platinum is durability. It allows for a much longer lifespan due to better corrosion resistance and better durability with long term heat. Actually, this is not commonly known, but you should really replace your plug wires everytime you change plugs.
