exclude the people that don't do work, if they don't do anything don't let them take credit for your work. i had a group presentation in a mass media class last year and we just left one girl out entirely. she never really helped contribute so she got cut out of the loop. not sure what your situation is but i HATE when people try to take credit for my efforts. this was kind of a last minute thing, so I guess there's some amount of excuse, they had 10 hours from when I first emailed them saying we need to work on it to when I finished (it didn't take nearly that long to actually do) and this is the first assignment in a string of things for this project and I have a feeling I'm stuck with them no matter how much work they do so I can't just discard them that sucks, it's one thing when you have one bad apple, but when you got a whole team using you as a crutch i guess all you can do is assume that doing the extra work will build your character I talked to them today, and I told them that if I end up writing the final paper, it's only going to have my name on it. that's a legit solution, you do work, you take credit for it. there's no real argument with that. oh, and i like your new fuel consuming device :bigclap: heh, it should consume a lot less fuel than the current one too

Woot!! That happened sooner than I expected. The plan is to tear the car apart at the beginning of the summer and have it done by the end of it Josh's might be done by then what's the current status of that?

Lucas with a bottle of GM LSD additive, it's what I put in the Camaro RP isn't worth the price Lucas already has friction modifier in it. But is it a friction modifier for a LSD though? Just curious... LSD is the only one that needs the friction modifier. For some reason I was thinking of Transmission fluids where there are different friction additives, (Type F vs Dextron III for example) kinda off base a bit, but tom is the only person i've ever seen go AGAINST royal purple. i've read/seen nothing but good things about it. it's what is in my bro-in-laws stang too.... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee I think the problem is that RP is really designed for racing use. Yeah, it'll unleash power, but for street driving, it doesn't have the wear protection needed. I've seen a couple T56s taken apart with fucked up synchros because of RP.

you're an obnoxious little shit stain, aren't you?

If I remember what my mechanic friend told me correctly, the RP is too slick; it doesn't allow the clutches in an LSD to grab properly (disregard if you've got a torsen). The RP tranny fluid is definitely crap when it comes to T56s, doesn't have anywhere near enough wear protection as regular old ATF.

I fucking hate team members who don't do shit. First assignment for this group, and I did 95% of it. No fucking way I'm carrying these assholes the rest of the semester. *pissed*

For me it all depends on what I am welding and how big the difference is. You can only get full penetration on the thinner material, now you can use a copper backing plate to soak heat out of the thinner material while welding, or put more heat on the thicker material by the way you hold the torch. As long as you get good penetration on the thinner material I'd call it good. What are you welding? Different subject, one of my biggest problems with MIG welding is that it seems to me a LOT of people never have it turned up hot enough, sure you can get what looks to be a decent bead to sit on the surface, but don't be afraid to turn the voltage and wire speed up. If your interested I have a Lincoln Electric Arc Welding book that I'd be willing to part with (I have two of them), it has about everything you could ever want to know with welding, be it ARC, MIG, TIG, or Gas. 0.120" to 0.067" mild steel, and no copper back plate I wouldnt mind having that book.... Shouldn't be that hard really, on something that thin I'd just try for full penetration on the .067 and be done with it. PM me your address and I'll see if I can't get it sent out sometime. thanks dude, YGPM

Ryan2 or Kent, when welding 2 metals with different wall thicknesses, do you set your welder to the thinner or thicker one, or in between?

no +1 for sharing, way to be a douche bag i was sharing the music! and i can only fit so many people in my car. we even tried squeezing the sub that i had when teh fire drill went off in my car! he threatened my friend that if he didn't gtfo he was gonna tell the real teacher that he was swearing, cheating, throwing chit (yes he said chit), punched a whole in teh wall (the sub accidently put a hole in the wall during class =]). but then the fire drill was over in the middle of his sentence Even worse on the douche side since you are bragging about being one. i was just having some fun! first time with my system for over 2 months, with the second day of actually getting to blast it after letting it warm back up. whats the whole point in having a loudish system if you aren't gonna blast it so other people can hear it? i'm still kinda in that "new sub/first system" stage, i get a little giddy everytime i can show it off. and that was a good time to show off. sorry to enjoy it yourself? Thanks for giving the people who actually have matured a bit a bad name. douche.

I6 BM'ers are ultra easy to work on. Almost like they were engineered to be serviced. Getting parts for you might on the other hand be an overnight ordeal. I dont know how reliable the new BMWs are... my mom's 535 had to have the whole cylinder head replaced after ~2 years and a few thousand miles took the dealership 4 days too The new 535 is not an I6 car and not what I'd recommend either. I wish they wouldn't have lost their ways, it would make it much easier for me car shopping. I could've sworn it had an inline 6 in it... I figured it was a pre-2003 which was an 8 cylinder as I didn't realize the 2008+ had an I6 twin turbo 3.0L that they called the 35. Blasphemy, the real 3.5 is the M30. oh wait, it's a 530i, '07 or '08
