Sorry I am new to all of this. So where should I start looking? What I recommend for a system like that: decent HU 2 channel amp for components up front whatever sub stage you like with a matching amp and any sound deadening will also make improvements any of the sub set ups listed so far will easily accomplish the sub portion of this system, it just depends how loud you want it to be my 2 sealed 8s are enough for me, but there are people here running 4 ported 12s, how much do you want?

what features are you looking for in a HU? if you're system consists of nothing but a HU/amp/sub, then why bother upgrading?
