I've never seen retrofit-LS pans that cheap before
-
$167 for a brand new F-body pan, hmmmmm, I'd like to find one cheaper than that
-
if anything, I'll want the pan painted Chevy Engine Orange
-
thanks a ton Kent, that's awesome but unfortunately, on Sunday I go out of town for 6 weeks. when I get back though, I'll find a pan and get that to you. tig vs. mig? whatever works better, it doesn't really matter to me

I like you ... you don't do things half assed. you should see his BIBs.....

your weather is screwy it's been pretty "cloudy" the last couple days and it makes me excited for rain, but then I remember it's actually from a large brush fire west of town

My bro-in-law does. Stainless welder by trade, but whacked together my outdrive when a tree fell on it. think he could notch a cast-AL oil pan? Probably, but he would need some instruction. If it were stainless he could do it in his sleep. the second post here explains what needs to be done: http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=472609 I have many months to figure this out so no rush at all. If he thinks he can do it though, I'll get a pan out to you/him. Out of curiosity what does Street & Performance charge to do it? Brian charges $40/hr for side work but I can surely run it by him and see if I can minimize any expense. I can't find an actual price on their site (what a mess) but I've heard it's in the $500 range, but that includes the pan. If I could find the dimensions of the LH8 pan and make sure that it's not too deep, then I could just go that route and not have to worry about notching one.

I found a liquor store tonight with the biggest beer selection I've ever seen before. They even had the Ska beers I found in Durango. Here's what I picked up:
-
blue, green, orange, orange, orange, orange, orange, red, orange, black

Case in Point - Daily commute, incompetent morons are the ones who are causing an accident or two a day on the major highways here causing serious delays and back ups, making my already 90 minutes commute 2+ hours. The snoody rich ass holes in their BMW's are the ones moving faster and smarter. So it goes both ways, but I feel the opposite of you. It could be due to growing up and working with arrogant people abound and being able to deal and adjust, while slow and stupid (or in this case incompetents) make me much more angry. Heck, the same thing goes for the audio business for me. I would rather deal with arrogant or snoody people then the incompetent idiots that bring down the quality of everything. Snoody rich assholes trying to cut in line when a two lane road narrows down to one causes most traffic congestion in Houston, so eff em when I saw that happen in Oklahoma, it was the good-old-boy, sister-fuckers in lifted pick ups driving up the shoulder just to get 6 cars ahead
