12 or 15? no one can tell you that but your self........ how much space do you have? do you wanna run ported or sealed. based on the sq being wanted i would go sealed... but your kinda all over the place too..... rap/ hip how has little to no sq in it.... the bl is a bridge from the Q more of a sq sub..... and the btl.. a spl monster... the bl imo sounds great on most all music... sounds great with rap and rn b Thanks for the info, I should probably be looking at a 12inch BL, which means I would have to go ported. I see a lot of people recommend the BL subs for rap music over the Q subs. I listen to rap music mostly. What I'm looking for in a sub is that will give me strong accurate bass notes. I want something that will bang, but I'm looking for more SQ over SPL. I'm looking for something that will give me great low and high bass notes well. Based off of what I'm looking for in a sub should I be going with a BL or Q. I'm also not sure if I should go with one 12 or 15. I'm going to power the sub with a Zapco REF1100.1

Are the Havoc's more of a SQ sub like the Qs? That link in your above post is great.

I'm looking for a good mix of both low and high bass. I have heard some 12 subs that were great on low bass but really sucked on high bass and I was wondering how well the Q handles both.

I'm thinking of getting one Q12 and powering it with a Kicker ZX1000.1 at 2ohms. I listen to mostly rap music and I'm looking for a sub that will give me accurate bass and can also give me great high and low bass. I hear the Q is great on low bass but I was wondering how is it at high bass? I know that getting a set of 10's would probably give me better high bass, but I'm looking for something that will give me a good mix of both.
