true..... but i believe we were talking about same sub, same amp, same vehicle, but a different box edit: here is a link to a imp. graph from my rlp's in diff boxes. to show you just one of the things that'll change between boxes... http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...indpost&p=77745

the size of the box would affect several things... the bigger box will peak higher, but will have a steaper rolloff and a higher impedance. the smaller will have a lower impedance and a more gradual rolloff, but will not peak as loud. it will affect more things than you think

i thought the 7@34 was kinda sloppy. they unloaded easier in the 7 than the 6....my 6@31 was my fav i think my 5@37 peaked a little higher ~50Hz...but the 6@31 just kicked its ass anything under 40Hz
-
wouldn't go over 7. i had 7@34 once...didn't like it. i personally didn't like anything over 6. i suppose the 7 might do better if tuned lower, say around 28.

i know i'm about a month late, and you've probably already figured something out...but my clamp meter was only ~$30...

i found this design on the web, and i was wondering how good it is. i know absolutly nothing about these types of designs. i would like to learn how they work, so if someone could elaborate a little it would be great....at least if this design is anywhere near accurate...

i'm glad they're doing you good. i kinda wish i would of kept them and fix that ghetto wiring

so you got both of them? thanks for letting me know, @SS i've been kinda worried that the second on got lost...
-
because i'm not besides i don't know if id trust my car on trips over prob. 2 hrs away...

the 4 ft will be below the windows, and the 6 will be above the windows. the 6 can be plugged to ~7ft @ ~32-34Hz w/ ~ 75^2 port. the other one i haven't sat down to figure it out yet... i think i wanna go under the window if i do decide to compete, cause i don't know how well i'd do in the higer class what you guys think?
-
glad you like it (singular) hopefully you will like them (plural)

today's the day
-
you get em yet??
-
you know the closest of those comps are about 3 hours away, the ones in il are a good 6-7 hr drive you forgot one though IASCA july 24th Granite City, IL @ NOPI 25min away
-
yesterday??? i'd say go for it w/ only 500w, you'll be ok. for the two i'd say my personal favorite was the 6ft @ 31Hz. i ran 7ft for a little bit, but i thought it was too bottom heavy. 5ft was nice too, a little more musical than the other two.

the dbdrag rule says that any equiptment above the window line is considered to be a wall...but that db drag i went to a couple weeks ago i was classed SS 1-2 NW , huh?
-
what are the diff organizations? and do you got any links to an event calander for the diff orgs.? i'm really open to any of them, i just want something where i can go to more than 1-2 comps a year w/o driving 5-6 hours and no i don't know the res freq. i'm just basing the tuning on 40 shouldn't be too high for daily driving, and 40 will, more than likely, peak higher than my 35 box.

not good what? i had the RL-p's in a box that was 4.5ft^3 under the window, @ 37Hz w/ 68in^2 port and did a 151db on the old TL. and this one would be tuned higher and have more port. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ????? anyone else have an opinion???
-
My RL-p box sucked, now it's in a better home with
