Before I started this project I stopped by a few local shops to find out what the work might cost if I had someone else do it. Well, average quoted price was $200.00 but without any custom fiberglass work or molding. Anyway, I bought $60 worth of supplies today, and I was expecting to spend at least $100. Sure beats paying someone else to do it! for being underbudget!

It wont be a big issue. I've done a lot of painting/finishing work, so I am more than familiar with the techniques... I wont be painting unfortunately, probably just covering that baffle with vinyl.
-
Not stock. You'll see. They will look pretty nice when I'm done. I am utilizing the factory speaker mount, but I will be doing a custom baffle and modling it into the existing doorpanel. It should be a nice suttle look. Once I post pictures it will make a whole lot more sense.

Oh, I also got my Iraggi alternator today. I'm going to have it tested at Autozone, hopefully it is too much for their ampmeter.

UPDATE: WEll I started glassing the doorpods today. My first venture into fiberglass and let me tell you, for someone who is a neat freak like me, it is hard to to it cleanly. However, once you get the hang of it, you really get into the grooove and get your own system going. I will post pics soon. I got my shipping notification from Ikesound.com today, and my P9 setup wont be here until the 31st . Hopefully I get everything else together before that though. I'm still looking for a good deal on some RCA interconnects if anyone can hook me up. Anyways, looks like it was a pretty unevenful day around here.....

What about cosmetics, are we going to see the same "signature" look as the RL-P?
-
Nice choice of vehicle. Just keep the sub till after the meet!
-
Personally, im not all tha fond of the cosmetics. I'm definitely more interested in the specs.... Very exciting stuff though.

We saw a Carrera GT, and Lamborghini Murceilago in Northridge on the same day last weekend. They do sound and look pretty awesome.

It was that bad, by no means am I epileptic, but that image made me feel like throwing up.

The song I mentioned is not a "bass" track...and nor I dont listen to "traditional" bass tracks unless I am specifically testing a subwoofer's performance. And yes, you are crazy.
-
^TOP^ i found this song by Mr. Scruff called "Bass Baby" it has some pretty nice low notes in it. I will probably use it for "testing"...

Whatever you can find that will fit your budget. IMHO the D7s are worth paying the little extra for. Ubid.com just blew out their entire new old stock of D7s but they might still have some left. -
slow night.... I watched "Drumline" tonight on my home theatre system in HiDef on TNT.... pretty dang sweet... that movie has great sound.
