WMP is the devil. I used to like Winamp, until it started taking a chit on my computer often. After re-installing it about five times, I decided to move on, for now. I'm using Foobar 2K now, and other than a huge learning curve for formatting it, it's pretty cool. Maybe I'll try again with Winamp. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Foobar2K > every other audio player.

Thanks everyone. I am VERY happy with this setup so far, and I haven't even began to play around with it. UPDATE: I got my Knukonceptz RCAs, and installation gear from HiFiSoundConnection.

I give you a lot of credit for giving me the confidence to attack this projefct. Without me having seen your worklog I would probably have never attempted this myself. Fiberglass has made it possible for me to display my creativity. I am honestly get more and more into this the more I work on it. I am really having a great time doing this project, and I can guarantee all that come to the meet, you will not be disappointed.

You definitely have an invitiation! Come out to the meet on June 25th!

I am actually getting all the volume I need from that small little cup (see last images) on the back that fits inside of the factory 5.25" speaker mount. According to DLS, they only need a 0.4-0.9 LITER enclosure. (really small) They will probably stick out about an inch, maybe less from that bottom ridge of the doorpanel. I'll be elevating them out with some dowels, so I should gain a bit more volume from that. Don't worry, once the next bit is done these will start to make a whole lot more sense.

Did some wiring... also made progress on the doorpods.. A little eye candy at night..(this is with the headunit set to auto-dim via the illumination wire [sync'ed w. dash])

Now.. to install some of it.. I also have a vid of this thing operating. Please just download it once to save my bandwisth (its 17MB, I couldn't make it any smaller, sorry) Video of the DEX-P9 in operation. (right click and "save link as")

UPS showed up with a surprise! (OK I was actually waiting around all day for him......) Enjoy...... Hmm, this vehicle looks a bit familiar.... What, a package??? I didn't order a subwoofer! Have to let the "drug sniffing dog" check it out first.... IkeSound did a good packing job... I wonder what could be in here. The Premier DEX-P9, in all its glory... Oh yea, that other box...hmmm? A little peek.... Premier DEQ-P9... Copper-Plated Chassis PWNZ J00! Look at all these goodies! So they sent me the wrong wiring for the DEQ, but that is really a non-issue anyway. I have to give credit to IkeSound for getting all of this gear here in one piece. I know a lot of you guys have had trouble with them, but my experience was great!

UPDATE: Taped, prepped and glassed the rear half of the doorpod enclosure. You can really see this project coming together now. After they have cured a bit... Popped right out! (I used cooking spray as a mold release agent) ^ Now you are certainly thinking that these look a bit thin. Because they are. I didnt want to put 3+ layers of glass while they were still on the doorpanel - before they got so thick that I wouldn't be able to get them out without cracking them. I'll be adding 2 more layers to the surface of these this weekend if I can find the time. Look at all the tape that was on those doorpanels. Whew! These are actually starting to look like something.

UPDATE... I cut the mounting baffles out. Jigsaw skillz baby! OK maybe not perfect, but they'll get the job done!

Did I ever think I was wrong? No. I never said my or his opinion was right or wrong. Please shut your mouth unless you truly understand what the issue WAS here. I have not yet seen one positive comment from you and I am suggesting that you take your attitude elsewhere.
