Hey guys, I just ordered my Image Dynamic components and now I'm starting to look into my subwoofer setup. I've narrowed it down to three choices. I listen to mostly rap and hip hop, but I do like alternative every now and then. Here are the three setups that've really stood out to me. 1) 2 12" Fi SSD's powered by a Cadence DCA 1600.1 in a ported box to specs. 2) 2 12" Image Dynamics IDQv3's in a sealed encolsure powered by a AudioQue 1200D or Sundown SAE-1200D. 3) 2 12" AudioQue SDC2.5's in a ported box powered by an AudioQue 1200D or Sundown SAE-1200D. I'm really trying to get loud but still have some sound quality. I'm not trying to have to upgrade my alternator either. Which one do you guys think is best for me? Thanks so much!

hmmm, I really like the idea of 2 Q's and the sundown 1500D and I think that's what I'm going to go with. should i go ported or sealed? I know they're SQ subs so I'm guessing sealed would be the way go, but how would they sound in a nice ported box to specs? Would you think 2 12" Q's in a sealed box would get louder or as loud as 2 SSD's in a ported box? Thanks so much for the help guys! Hey guys, I've been doing a lot of research lately and I've come down to two setups that I'm really considering. I haven't listened to many subs personally, but I want my system to be a lout louder than one 15" Mofo. My buddy has a 15" Mofo and it just doesn't impress me. I listen to mostly rap and hip hop and a little bit of rock. Below are the two setups I've been considering. 1) Two Dual 1 Ohm 12" Fi SSD's powered by Cadence ZRS-7500D. Approx Total for the amp and subs: 800 2) Two Dual 1 Ohm 12" Fi BL's powered by a Hifonics 2608D. Approx total for the amp and subs: right around 800 Which setup do you think would be right for me? I'm going to be doing a high output alternator upgrade and getting a seperate battery to power the amp. I'm scared the two SSDs won't get loud enough for me. How do the BL's and SSD's compare on SQ? Could anyone recommend another amp that pushes out a legit 2000RMS at 1 ohm that's under 400 bucks? Thanks a bunch guys, Austin.

sweeeet. I've decided to find a nice amp that pushes out around 1600-1800 RMS legit. Does anybody have any recomendations? I'm thinking about the Cadence ZRS-7500D. I'm willing to pay up to 500 for the amp alone but I'd like to keep it under 400. I really want a legit amp that puts out legit RMS. I think i'm just going to go with the flatwind option just cause I'm giving my subs right around recomended RMS and I don't think they'll need BP Power. I can't wait to order these things!!!!

hey guys i'm going with 2 12" SSD's and I can't wait! I listen to mostly rap and hip hop. I'm wondering if I should get the Flatwind Coil, Copper Coil, and/or BP Power option. I'm willing to pay a little bit extra if these will help out my subs. I'm going to go with a pair of the Dual 1 ohms so I"m looking for an amp that puts out around 2000RMS at 1 ohm. Should I pay the extra bucks and get the three options? Should I put them in a ported or sealed box? I'm scared to go sealed cause I don't think it'll be loud enough. Please respond! Thanks guys!

hmmm, well the SSD's are 800RMS a piece so If I'm gonna get two i'm gonna go with the Cadence DCA 1600

Hey guys, I'm choosing between these two setups. 1) Two 12" Fi SSD's powered by a Cadence DCA 1600 or 2) One Fi BL 15" powered by a Sundown SAE-1200Dd I listen to mostly rap and either setup will be going in a ported box built to specs. Would the two twelves be louder because the extra cone area? Which one would have better SQ? Which one would you personally choose? Thanks everyone!

Yea i guess I see where your coming from. do you guys think I'll be satisfied with 1 15 BL?

really? that's surprising cause I've heard nothing but good reviews on the Type R's which is alpine's one sub I've researched a little bit about.

he's got his 12w7 in JL's prowedge sealed box powered by a JL 1000/1. Would one 15" BL powered by the Sundown 1200D get louder?

alright sweet, i'm going to do some more research but that setup will definitely be on my mind. My friend's dad has one 12 jlw7. i'm hoping to have a system that's louder than this as I didn't find the 12w7 very loud at all. would one 15 BL be louder than 1 12w7?

yea I think the BL's sound more for me. If you were me, would you go with one 15 BL or 2 12 SSD's? I'll be having a box made from my local car audio and they will be building it to specs and it will be ported.

bigjon, have you heard the Fi BL's? How do they compare to the nightshades? Thanks much.
