My 4050 sounds incredible. Zed old school amps just sound better to me.

These amps have red boards?

Is there really any advantage to running this amp on a sub. I know alot of sound quality guys love this amp to use on tweeters and mids. I was under the impression that once this amp pushes out a certain amount of watts it switches from class a mode to an a/b amp. The only advantage i see is that its stable down to .25 ohms. Anybody that knows about this amp please comment

Thanks for the info impious. So this amp is really a class a fraud. lol. Whats the reason everyone talks so highly about this amp? Does it have great sound? I havent had the chance to hook it up yet. I saw it for sale and it was super cheap so I picked it up.

Just found a Soundstream Class A Reference 10.0. The big chome one. Im probably going to run that until I find a bpx 4 channel. Alot of people might think im crazy for getting rid of a class a just to run matching amps but I just really dont need or want a 2 channel amp. I hear this Soundstream amp is a ridiculous soundquality amp. Looking forward to testing it out a while before I find a 4 channel.

Does anyone have any experience with these amps? Are they reliable? I just bought the little 500.1 to try out in the sq oriented install. I bought it because its so versitile with its wiring options and I got it dirt cheap but I havent heard anything about its relliablity.

Lol. I can deal with the mounting feet. I did not no they made a crown 4 channel. I might have to find one to match the 500.1 Impious i believe i bought my last Jbl amp from you. a 1200.1 .

Those are some nice numbers. Check out the FS on the 18" woofer. Can you say get looowwwww!!!!!!

I have always loved the way my system sounds in the winter. Im not sure if the cold weather is keeping the amps cooler therefore making them run more effciently or what but it definately sounds more precise when its cold. Keep in mind im not dealing with extremely cold weather. Nothing below 10 or 15 degrees

Its definately not easy but once you get it right it sounds amazing. It took me months of adjusting to get it exactly how I wanted it. lol. Hopefully it wont take you that long. Having the ability to control every speaker in your car is a beautiful thing. lol

Let me know how you like that 7995 when you get it installed chopp. Any more opinions on the subject will be greatly appreciated. For some reason I have always like alpine decks over everything else i have tried

Im mainly looking at the Alpine 7998 and 7995. Both units are deadhead units. Are they made with higher quality parts since there is no internal amplifier? Do they have better sound? I know the 7998 is going to have the advantage because it has better time alignment and better eq options. But just wanting the opinion of guys that have experience with older alpine units. Im also looking at the 7897, its not a deadhead deck put I hear its also extremely nice. Any opinions?

Im probably going to go with 2 18" avas for my next build. I was thinking about 10 cubes with a 28 hz tune. What do you guys think? Also how much port area do these subs like? Are they able to move a bunch of air? Also I will probably be running 750 rms to each. 1500 total

Lol i probably going to go the rule of thumb. lol 150 sq inches of port sounds good to me

Thanks for the advise honda. I dont think i can go to much bigger than 10 or 11. I have to do some more measuring. Does the tuning sound about right at 28hz for these woofers. Would they perform better sealed? I would think you would need a low tune to get the most out of these guys. And yes its the old AA avalanches withe the XBL2 motors
