using ipod with Pioneer premier deh-860mp
jrod1050 posted a topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Im using this universal pioneer ipod adapter with my head and i cant get it to work http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...RK%3AMEWAX%3AIT I have everything installed correctly because it actually charges the ipod i just cant get to the setting on the head unit to get it to play. Does anyone have any ideas? It hooks up to the cd changer plug on the back of the head unit -
i would love to test a xcon and a xxx head to head ... x2 I have seen some xxx tuned extremely low. How do the xcon's perform in boxes tuned very low. lets say from 25 to 30 hz????

its a guy that has some great tc sounds/audio pulse subwoofers online now in our for sale sections. if i didnt already have a fi btl that im trying to finish up the build for i would be all over it

their a company that has a great product. Incredilble product but their customer service is not as good as some of the companies that operate on this website such as Fi, SSA, Incrimanator, Sundown. They are ran by the same person who ran TC sounds

Wow you started off with pretty good subs. My first subs were a pair of Jensen 10's in a horrible bandpass box running off a Legacy 500 watt amp. The worst equipment known to man
-
im definately not a enclosure expert but BTL's are meant for ported enclosures only. Its all about your listening preferance. If you like extremely accurate sound quality subs that can still get loud go with the Fi Q or the SSA Icon. If you like spl monsters that can still sound pretty good on music go with the Nightshade or the BTL. Best way to judge it would be to find someone in your area with these subs and listen to them yourself

take a look at this link http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...?showtopic=7153 The btl is definately not a sound quality woofer but in the right enclosure they can sound very good and ridiculously strong

oh ok. thanks for the advise Memphis. Those things are so cheap on ebay i thought about buying one just to play around with. I still might pick one up

anybody ever run these @ .5 ohms??

stay away from prefab boxes. Find some one locally to build a box to your specifications, or try building it yourself. MDF is not that expensive if you mess up your just out of 40 or 50 bucks

Pioneer Avic-90bt
jrod1050 replied to ncacoates's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
alot of pioneer units have that problem. my premier 860 mp had the same problem -
i didnt even want one until i saw that picture. That amp is nutz!!!! i gotta start saving
-
make sure your electrical is beefed up enough to run a btl. HO alternator and/or batts. Sundown 2000d would be a good match. Anything with 2000+ clean rms wattage would be good
-
The weight means nothing. If you have the coin try out the Warden its the newest and meanest thing IA makes. They also have a daily version of the sub so its not just strictly for SPL comps
-
Not only are you a great enclosure builder. Looks like you marketing skills are on par also

i wish you could click on the picture and hear how they sound. LOL. They look like extremely nice subs -
8400 watts @ 4 ohms is ridiculous. That amp is a monster
-
more than likely its not going to be able to handle the same power that btl can
-
if im not mistaken rockford made a couple different types of 18's. did he put a model number on the listing? Did he give any specs on the 18?
-
Might be a stupid question but im gonna ask it anyway.I have a enclosure with 2 thread rods running from the front of the enclosure all the way to the back of the enclosure for support. Can i also use these thread rods for a speaker terminals also? I will be running a memphis 16-2000d to a 18" btl d1 voice coils. Will be running in a series for a 2 ohm load.

Using support thread rods as speaker terminals also

well my install is going in a daily driver so i think im going to run with it. LOL. I might meter it just to see what kind of numbers im putting up but definately no competitions. I live in east nowhere Georgia so i should be the king of the block anyway. : )
