4 12" premiers in 93 civic hb
BigCProductions99 replied to Rozon420's topic in SPL & SQ / Fabrication
Ew. Capacitors. I Agree On The Wall. -
which sub setup is the loudest of these choices?
BigCProductions99 replied to phresh's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
I Say Two Fi BL 15"s. (Even The Fact That I Am For Sure Switching To Cascade Designs, I Will Always Be Behind Fi/AA 100%, And At Least One Of My Vehicles Will Run A Fi/AA Product For That Reason, Great Subs, Great Customer Service, Bottom Line.) -
Wow, I Might Be Biased And Hate Ford, But That Vehicle Is A Turd On Wheels.

Put A New Fuel Pump On The '55, Running New Fuel Lines. Hope To Get Some Vids Up Of It Running Afterwards, We Also Dropped The Tranny In Collin's Truck And Got It Rebuilt, Then Put It Back In, Boy Was That A Pain In The Ass, A Lot Different Than Doing It In A Drag Car Or A 4x4, Which I'm Used To. Tons Of Pics And Vids To Come Later, Then The Jimmy Will Be Back On Track, And Then I Can Get To Building A Motor For My Damn '71 Chevy Stepside Street/Strip Truck. Thank God For The Amount Of Blocks And Trannys And Just chitloads Of Motor Parts Me And My Dad Have Compiled Over The Years, Also Fabricating A 4 Inch Pipe Winch Bumper For The Jimmy Right Now. We Also Totally Tore Down The 22RE That Is Going Into The '85 Yota. It's Been A Long Hard Two Weeks, And That Ain't Even The Half. - Cody Johnson.

Well Damn, How Much Can An 18" Xcon Handle?
-
Sorry To Repost, But After Reading The F150 Forum, I Think The Guy Might Have Torched The Subs By Leaving Them On His Workbench, Which Got Sand And Dirt On Them. If The Debris Was Anywhere In The Spider/Lead Or Terminal Assemblies It Could've Seriously F'ed Them Up. The Fact He Was Running A SAE-1200D On .5 Ohm And Probably Didn't Set His Amp Up Right Is Also Bothering Me.

Well, I Live In Kilgore, Texas. And I Have To Say, I Don't Mind Driving To Lubbock To Kick This Nooblet's Ass.

Scott Is The Owner Of Fi. Nuff Said.

mach5 audio ixl 12.2.2 vs Icon vs Fi Q
BigCProductions99 replied to tosh's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
Are Those Damn AQ HD Series Subs Worth It? From My Experience, Their Amps Are Subpar, At Best. Looking At The Specs, The 15" Looks To Outshine The 18" -
Again Fi BTL or Addictive Audio????
BigCProductions99 replied to foxvega87's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
Just Get The Damn Things Fully Loaded, You'll Probably Never Blow One If You Do. Last I Checked They're At An Even $500 For A Fully Loaded 18". Get The Cooling (Which Will Add The P Chamfer As Well), The HiXmCoil, And The Induct Heat Ring. Whether You Want Them Universal Is Up To You, The Voice Coil's Impedance Can Be Changed At A Later Time During A Recone If This Option Is Chosen. And For Damn Sure Get The Daily Option Unless You Just Want To Fart Them At A SPL Comp. Depending On The Amp/Amps, You Can Decide Which Coil Option You Need. There Is No Such Thing As Overkill In A Subwoofer, These Options May Seem Unwanted, But With Them, It's Highly Unlikely...Let Me Rephrase That, Impossible, To Blow Them With Any Power You Could Throw At Them, Unless You Have A Stetsom 7kd Or Something Like That On One. -
What DID Happen With The SMD Anyway?

I Had An 18" Q Before My BL, And Yes, It Sounded Wonderful. But I Highly Prefer The BL To My Musical Tastes, And When I'm Ready To Actually Build My "SQ" Vehicle, I WILL Go With 4 Q 18"s. That Being Said, The Q I Had Was A Great Bottom Octave Monster, But Fell Off Quite A Bit In The Top-Range That The BL Hits Effortlessly. I Highly Recommend A BL For Rap, And Tuned To 32hz Will Give You Plenty Of Feel And Good SQ For What The Woofer Actually Is. Btw, Fack eD. Horrible Customer Service And Rip-Off Designs With Cheap Parts. The Owner Is A Prick, Too.

This Doesn't Make Any Sense. I've Seen SSD's Kill L7's With The Utmost Of Ease. A Rule For Me Is If You Have To Take It To A Shop, You Shouldn't Have It At All. Quantum Is Childs Play To Me, Never Liked Them. And I'm Sure A Sundown Can Cure Your Problems If You Set It Up Right, And Not Let A Shop Do It. Most Shops Are Filled With Mainstream Brand-Loyal Noobs Anyway.

Use 8 Gauge For The BL. I'd Recommend Knukonceptz. Get You Some Konfused Battery Terminals While You're There. www.knukonceptz.com

Hey BJ, I'm Going To Get Brian To Make Some Designs Up For Me, So We'll See How That Goes, But I'm Definitely Using You As The Builder. Damn Glad I Live In Kilgore So I Can Just Pick It Up Instead Of Pay Shipping For This Box And The 28 Cubic Foot Beast Im Gonna Need Later.

Just How Much Of A Royal Pain In The Ass Is It To Go Active With 8 Of These, Or Find A Way To Put A Crossover At 4KHz On Them?
-
Two Words. Adire Brahma.

Of Course The DP 21"s Bang Harder Than A Solo X, Kicker Sucks. :| (Biased Opinion) I Actually Do Have A Plethora Of Kicker Subs That Are Older Than chit. xD

I Need A Good Set For Around $200 Or Two That Are Around $100 Each. It Can Be A Little More. I'll Let You Be The Judge. (Ran Off A SAX-50.4 By Sundown)

It Can Fit Anything, Dude. I Get Creative, I Don't Use Factory Speaker Holes. Ever. Any "Car" Can Do Components. I'm Running Passive. And The Vehicle Is In My Avatar And Sig. (A Very Dirty And Muddy 1987 GMC Jimmy At The Time Of Picture.) Update: All I Need Is A Set Of Tweeters. I Will Be Running 8 Mach 5 Audio MLI-65's. 4 In Each Door. After Having Rainbow SLC Comps With A Fi BL 18", I'm Very Anxious To See What The Icon Can Do. And All That Mid-Bass. This Truck Is Going To Be More SQ Oriented Than It Was With The Previous System.

Sundown Audio Amp Review And Amp Lights ?
BigCProductions99 replied to Kent535's topic in Sundown Audio
1. Kill Who Recommended The Hifonics. 2. Buy The Sundowns. Nuff Said. -
Ah, I Heard Exodus Picked Up The Shiva And Tempest From Adire. Guess It's True. If You Can Find Any Ascendant Audio Avalanches, Those Are Great.

...By Seeing Online As The Only Way To Get These Subs Firsthand, And The Amount Of People That Have Them, You Shouldn't Have A Trust Issue. E-mail Scott Or Nick Instead Of The Sales Email And See What You Get.

Promised Pictures Of The 'Yotas. 1983 Hilux "Purple Rain" And 1985 Hilux "Black Ice". Shots Of Collin's '72 Chevrolet C-10 Cheyenne. Jacked Up '83 Is Mine, '85 Is Gonna Be Given To Collin From Myself If He Pays For Both Projects. Both Will Be Hardcore Wheelers, Mine Will Not Be Street Legal, Strictly Tow To Trail Or Bog. Collin's Will Have As Many Speakers And Subwoofers As Possible (Cheap chit.) And Will Be A Street Legal Wheeling Truck Simply Because He Has No Trailer. Shots Of A F'ed Up 12" Hi Tech Subwoofer, Too.
