    FI BTl spider ripped

the box was dead on 5cft and on the t30001bd theres just a switch on or off on the infrasonic filter and it was switched on and i think thats set on about 27hz i think, thats what it says in the maneul Thanks That's Why, Plus Over Extension.

    Is this possible?

The Higher The Tune, The Louder It Will Be, But Will Limit Your Song Choices And Extension, Also Move Less Air Due To Less Port Velocity. I Generally Like Either Low Or Daily Tuning. 26hz For Crazy Low To About 30hz. 31hz - 34hz Is Generally Excepted As Daily. 35hz - 38hz Is On The SPL Side, And Higher Than That Is A Fartbox That Should Only Play Tones. Lower Tuning Also Generally Gives You More Sound Quality. It Just Feels Empty To Me When A Box Is Tuned High, I Don't Like It, It's Loud To The Ear But Not Felt As Much As It Should. There's Also A Big Difference Between 140dB And 160dB, Hell, It's A Huge Difference Between 155dB And 160dB.

    Soft Part Assembly And Basket

Well, How About This Nick, I Have A Newer Model Comp VR That Has A Blown Coil (I Have Alot Of Kicker Stuff For Some Reason, Even Though I Hate The Brand.) It's A Dual 2, Like It Matters. It Has A Deep Voice Coil Valley And Is Also Wider Than Normal. Same As Before, I'll Put Up Some Pics And See If This Could Work, See If I Can Get A Basket And Soft Parts That Could Make This Motor Useful. Only Problem Is I Need Shims If I'm Gonna Set It Properly.

    Soft Part Assembly And Basket

I Was Wondering if You Have An Assembly That Could Be Used For An Old 10" Kicker Competition 8 Ohm. The Extended Pole Stillwater Designs One, The Really Old One. And A 12-Spoke Basket. I Basically Just Want To Have Some Fun With This Motor. It's A Two Inch Coil. I Can Drill Holes In The Top Plate To Accomodate The Basket. Even If It Isn't Really Worth It, This Is For Fun And Basically For The Love Of The Hobby.

Don't Need 'Em, They (I Have A Pair, With The Original Boxes.) Run Just As Good As They Did In 1990.

    Is this possible?

Lmao, There Are People Out There Hitting Higher Than That With One 10", 147.xx dB Is Highly Plausible On A 15" BTL, Hell, It's Actually Lower From What People Normally Score With One, But It's In A Trunk Car.

    LOUD SOUND QUALITY options

Yay. I Dibbs'd The XXX. Which Year Model Is It, Anyway? And I Wouldn't Even Think Of Using An AudioQue Product For Sound Quality, But That's Just Me, I'd Rather Have An Xcon. How Much Room Do You Have To Work With? I Also Haven't Seen Any Advantage Over Two Smaller Slot Ports Than Just One Big One, Depending On Port Placement.

Who do I contact about recones?

Most Likely A BTL If It's A Fi Sub.

I feel so lucky to have SSA

That Was The Stupidest Thing I Have Ever Read, Apart From My Idiot Find On Youtube. The General Public Is Full Of Uneducated Retards. Remember That. "Yea Mayne Mah Hyephonikkz Ampz Makes Shitz Go b00m!!11111!, EYe'm Da Loudestest Muhfugga In Da c-wordry!111!!"

    Soft Part Assembly And Basket

I'd Have To Sand The Back Plate To See If The Bronco Is On It, The Dustcap Is Bare. I'll Go Get It And Take Some Pics Of It.
  12. To Me, Yes. To Some Ricer Boy Who Likes Flashy LED Readouts And A Chromed Soda-Can Paperweight, No. I See No Need In Them, Whatsoever. They Cause More Harm Than Good In 99% Of Applications They Are In.

    What should I get!

    Soft Part Assembly And Basket

Yeah, This Is One I Just Had Laying Around For A Long Time. I've Got An Old Assed Stillwater Designs (Dubbed The "Kicker", The Originator Of The Brand Name) That Was Made In 1990. It, Suprisisingly, Still Has A Very Good Suspension. The Cone Is Very Weak And Looks Prone To Folding, Though, And Has A Huge Motor For A Sub Of It's Size And Time.

How to Add A 2nd battery??

Have Fun Stopping Every 3 Minutes And Recharging Your Auxillary Battery For 2 Hours, Then. And There Is No "Good" Battery For These Kind Of Applications For $60, My Damn Motorcycle And Four Wheeler Batteries Cost More Than That.

How to Add A 2nd battery??

Sounds Like To Me You Don't Even Deserve That Damn BL. You Don't Have A Damn Clue What You're Doing, And That's The Truth.

    fi q for home use?

As Much As I Love Fi, I Think An Exodus Maelstom-X 18" Would Do Better. http://www.diycable.com/main/product_info....products_id=681 <-- If You Have The Money. But A Q Will Do Fantastic, It Will Also Be Louder. I've Got My 18" Q In A 13.5 Cube Box Tuned To 22hz In My Closet, All I Can Say Is DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN.

    Audioque Componets vs others

I Don't Know Out Of All Those, If I Had To Guess Either The DD's Or The Focals. Only Comp Sets I Ever Ran Were Rainbow, When I Get To That Stage At My SQ Car I'm Either Going With Them Again Or Hybrid Audio Technologies. But The 2 12" Eminence Delta Pros And Selenium ST350's Don't Sound Bad At All, And They....Are QUITE Loud.

    SSD or Lvl 2???

...There's Something Called A Gain Knob And A DMM. Just Because It's Rated At That Power Doesn't Mean That's All You Can Make It Put Out, It's Variable.

    which amp to choose?

I Also Agree With The MD1.
  23. ....Why Do You Need A Cap? Throw It In A Dumpster And Light It On Fire, That's All They're Good For.

    General Questions

I'd Rather Just Get A Powermaster D2700 And A Good Starting Battery. The Motor Is The Same On All Models, They'll Handle The Same Power Fully Loaded. (Theoretically.) If You Want The Most Out Of It, I'd Say 3000 Clean Watts Rms. But You Can Get A Smaller Amp And Improve Later. How Tall Is Your Trunk? If It's 19.5" - 22" Tall An 18" Could Fit Sub Back/Port Back. ( A D2700 Is $300 On This Site, I've Seen Them For Around That Locally, And It's One Big Damn Battery. I'd Just Get A Starting Battery Around 750 - 1000 CCA For Your Primary, The D2700 As Your Auxillary.)

12" FI Q vs. 12" FI BL (Daily Use) vs 2 12" Alpine type

I'd Get It Daily Fully Loaded, You Won't Be Dissapointed.
