Very specific sub request... LOUD SQ WALL <$900 (shipped)?
BigCProductions99 replied to Boomboxx's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
Thanks! I didn't find them on their website. But 8 x 8"s are actually around 1600cm^2. Wow, that's two 15's. Never though about that. Will keep it in mind! They Should Be On This Site, Either That Or They Don't Make Them Anymore. -
Well, Just Remember That There Is A Gain Knob On The Amp, You Don't Have To Run Full Power. The RL-i's And IXL Are Great Options, Sadly, I Haven't Heard A BM, So I Can't Comment There. I Have Ran More Than 250 Watts To An E8 And Never Had A Problem, But Sean Is Right, Especially In Your Case, Headroom Is A Good Thing.

You Could Be Different And Run About 8 Sundown E8's (I Realize Obtaining Them May Be An Issue), But That's Just My Opinion. SQ And Wall Don't Really Go Together, But I Kinda Get What You Mean. -
I Feel Your Pain, I Drive A 1987 GMC Jimmy Fullsize With 37 Inch Irok Radials, It Used To Have 38.5 Inch Bogger Biases, And I Bet You Know How Loud Those Are. By The Way, Love Those Old FJ40's And FJ60's, Don't Ever Sell It. Think About A.....I Haven't Been On So Long I Forgot The Name Of The Damn Woofer, Hell They May Not Even Make It Anymore...Oh, Sundown E8, One Of Those Each Side.

Did you get any pics of it? Not a bad score at all for such little power. Bet it sounds great no didnt have the camera but mp3 pimp will vouch for me. and yeah it sounded pretty darn good for one inexspensive 12 i even had all of the car audio shops in my area guesing it was 2 12s or a 15 off like 1500 watts . also edmon with the crown vic with 2 ia dp 21s in it listened to it and was impressed and could back me up on the score. Just Goes To Show, Audio Shops Are Riddled With Dumbasses. Nice Score.

Stupid since 12ga will do. Twist caps are for solid core wire. True.... but at times we do things that work good and are reliable in our builds, even though they weren't intended by the manufacturer to do so.. that said i use the twist caps they come in handy and are easier to use especially if u have dd subs. You never, EVER use twist caps for stranded wire. They will come off and take half the wire with them with the smallest amount of pressure. I have cleaned up so many installs where dumb rednecks used twist caps for their head unit and wonder why it doesn't work! I Take Offense To That, Not Because I Pulled Such A Dumbass Stunt Which Should Never Be Done, But Because I Am A Redneck. It's Okay Though, You Sumbitch. -

Under $200 Probably Isn't Going To Cut It...Unless Hi(Crap)fonics Is Your Thing. -
..That Wasn't My Intention, Height And Internal Length Play A Big Damn Part In Tuning Frequency. "Well, The Area Of The Port Doesn't Effect The Tuning, The Length And Width Does." <-- You Can Have The Same Tuning With A Different Amount Of Area, That's What I Was Trying To Say.

Front Stage Is Midwoofers And Tweeters, Otherwise Known As Mids And Highs. That's A Double Din, But You Can Put A Single Din In If You Want With The Right Kit And Not Make It Look Like Shit. www.woofersetc.com <--- Piss On Crutchfield's Prices. You Need To Keep A Starting Battery Up Front And Get A Big Secondary, You Most Likely Will Need Some Sort Of Higher Output Alternator Either Way. You Won't Need A SAZ-1500D Plus The 2000D For A BTL, Plus It's Just A Bad Idea In General. Look For The Konfused Battery Terminals On Knukonceptz Website, The RCA's With The Integrated Turn On Leads Would Be Nice, Too. Keep The Battery You Have Up Front And Put A D2700 Or D3100 In The Rear In A Holder/Rack, If You Can Fabricate One, And Get An HO Alt, Usually The Cheaper Way Out In An Electrical System Is The Worst.

Well, The Area Of The Port Doesn't Effect The Tuning, The Length And Width Does. Good Rule Of Thumb Is 12-16 Square Inches Per Cubic Foot Of Enclosure Volume. It's Funny How I Can Stick My Dad's 1.25 Cube Ported Box With A Icon 10" ALL The Way In My Port, And Still Have Room. (Tuned To 31hz, Btw.) I've Got To Post A Pic Of That When I Get My New Camera.

Maybe, With A HO Alt Yes, But I'd Still Get A Higher Rated Primary Battery Too To Back Up That D3100 For Insurance, Though. -
...Damn, 4 15"s For Mainly Rock And Techno? What Vehicle? Icons Or Havocs Ftw, The DR Isn't A Bad Choice Either, Nor Is The Fi. Shit, You May Only Need Just Two Of What You're After. ...Two Xcons Gained Right On A SAZ-3.5kd Come To Mind. I Guess The Amp You Have Now Would Suffice, Though.

Glad You Made The Switch To Active.

...2000 Watts Each Driver?
-
Powermaster D3100 Or D2700, Or A Kinetik, Something Along That. The SAX-50.4 Is For Your Front Stage. One SAZ-2000D Will Be Fine, Two Of Them Without An HO Alt And A Larger Primary Battery Would Wreak Havoc On Your Electrical, Plus It's A Little More Than What I Would Give A BTL. Yes, A Weak Electrical System Can Fry Your Amp, But You Should Know When To Shut It Down Before That Happens. And Yes, I Noticed The Install Kit, It'll Work. There's No Reason To Invert The Woofer, It Might Look Cool But Aesthetics Don't Overweigh Performance.
