I recently discovered Patrick Chandler and his shop. Has any body here used any of his subs or amps? The subs look to be very nice with beefy motors and Stiff paper cones. I am thinking about 1 18" "TC Sounds" with the "3 HP" motor. He said it wants around 1500 watts RMS. I have a about 1100 watts RMS to give it. Looking for general input on him and his operation. He seems to be a very nice guy, wondering what you guys think.

Well i went to my first show today since my truck was vandalized and robbed. It was a local car club show and although it rained the show turned out great. I entered in the mini truck and the DB classes. I didn't win for mini truck but i did take 3rd in the DB drag. There were roughly 10 cars that actually had something decent that were allowed to compete. I think i did pretty good being that 1st and 2nd went to sponsored vehicle's. They were using Memphis audio amps and 1 mojo i think 15 each. There setups were identical. on being in a 02ish cavalier and the other in a 06 Grand prix. The cavalier had a wall in the backseat and the Prix just had a nice box in the truck. The cavalier hit 148.0 and the prix hit upper 146's. both pushing 2500 RMS for there burps. I am running 2 kicker L7 12's with a Rockford 1500.1bd, the older 2 ohm stable one (shark fin) i hit 144.6 DB using music as i was completely Unprepared to DB drag . Is 146.8 good for my setup? its just as loud as my old pioneer 12's (4) that were stolen from me. This is the first time ive been lucky enough to find a good meter (termlab). Me and my friends built the box and amp rack just before the show. i literally finished up at 5am and had to be at the show @ 8 am. here is a link to my photo bucket. http://s414.photobucket.com/albums/pp224/bngblzr/Outta%20Control%202009/ LMK what you think.

I dont think it was a daily. But how can a Tiny car with a wall in the backseat be a daily? they should have had to classes. "wild" and "mild" or something. In my eyes a daily should RETAIN all Factoty seating that is permanatly bolt in, and in vans have at least on back Seat/row. My truck has been all over the U.S. From Tempe AZ to Traverse City MI for shows and vacation. I dont normally enter because i dont feal thats it "showy" enough, that all changed when the first car a ,cavalier with 2 12"s burped @ 132 quote name='shizzzon' date='27 July 2009 - 06:17 PM' timestamp='1248733058' post='542419'] that's a great score for your scenario. You should be able to pull upwards in the 146 area with some fine tuning and box position and in the 48s if u had time to completely rebuild it for comp with proper prior testing. The cavalier that did a 48 in a wall off of 2500w is not that great UNLESS it is also a daily driven vehicle.

the 4 12" box was at 35Hz. And the subs are in there own cambers, and are still in "phase". I did it just for looks.

REALLY THE PORT IF FOR 1 in the manual. do the math... its round in the manual convert to square. The pic is also not the right resolution. so it looks smaller than it is. Its 7"x4" 7" deep. the box was professionally built.... The idea of the thread was about robotunderground not my port..... MMM, some of my favourite low-cost subs. From what I found playing with them, a tad over double the recommended port area works best Installed a pair of these in an A4 Golf, on 400w and it was ridiculous for that power level. Yes there are very impressive, if i ever find another deal again i want 6

VERY NICE BOXES. so when do i get to hear those 18's? LOL. Well that box is gone. after a local car show some one stole it. and completely destroyed the vehicle doing so. I had to use all my insurance money rebuilding the the truck that i haven't been able to rebuild yet. I have 4 re 10's right now in a Rockford 500.2 it tries hard but there not my old 12's. sound better but not as loud.

ummm is that ur setup in the pic of the blazer.. if so that port is super little... lol it looks like it should be bigger imo that is really what they want. even know it is small. pioneer subs don't need a large port. the port is 7X4'' 7 inches deep. They don't really know what they want then You live in AZ ?! Yes, just moved, me and my boy LilTeddyP, we live in Tempe ummm is that ur setup in the pic of the blazer.. if so that port is super little... lol it looks like it should be bigger imo that is really what they want. even know it is small. pioneer subs don't need a large port. the port is 7X4'' 7 inches deep. Have you had to explain that a bunch of times? Yes

OK. Im building a box for my S-10 blazer and i need help with the port. The box is 38" wide 19" high and 14.5" Deep. It hold 4 RE SR 10 D4's. Id like the port to be now wider than 10" no taller than 6". id like it to be alot wider than taller just to kinda "fit" better... Thanks in advance -Mike

so being 20 inches long, will make me have to port out the side... is that gonna cause any problems?
-
ok well i want to be tuned to 32Hz so how long would that be? Im sorry im such a noob... i just dont get all this yet...
-
RE tech support said 12.5 square inches per cubic foot of internal volume. 20 inches long. That seems like a lot for tens. sound right?
-
ok i called RE TECH today and he said 12.5 square inches PER cubic foot of internal space. well my box need 4 cubic feet so i need 50 square inches of port? he said the port has to be 20 inches long. THATS A BIG PORT FOR FOUR 10's. does that sound right?...
-
ok i guess well try that. thanks
-
It was suggested to use the box calc. until i get the right Hz.

YEA me and LilTeddyP are building the box so were gonna change the port tommrow..
