Hey man welcome to SSA. You been up to any shows in NC lately? Should look up Tarheels Autosound Challenge #4 on the meca site ill be there so you should head up for the day.
-
yep sure was oh and that's at the headrest as well. does do a little better at the windshield but i forget the numbers.
-
Honestly man i run 2 15 x-cons and im getting a 145.1 with 1100w so at one third of there power handling they are doing those numbers i think it is very possible to get in the 150 range. Not to mention my box is tune to 30hz so its not meant for huge numbers.

Audible Customs * Free Enclosure* Review / Part 2

Looken good man!! how big is that box and what kinda power you sending them? -
I wouldn't sustain 2500 for a few minutes. Believe me at 1700 each they will still rock your world. If you want to burp them im sure they could handle 2500 or so but there is no sense in it honestly. I really don't think the gain would be worth the risk.

Looken good man. Like the wiring man exactly how i did it and it seems to work like a champ.
-
deaden the doors first pick up some good mids and tweeters. then run them passive i feel its the winner in any case if done right. i believe M5 would agree.
-
herd plenty of w7s in my day sealed and ported i think my x-cons sound better. the low end extension on the x-cons are are sickening and they play all the way up in the 80hz rang like its nothing. i think for the price it should even further you decision towards the x-con. don't get me wrong jl makes nice stuff as well but the price and support of ssa products are unbeatable.

Well started doing up the door panels this is just a little start for the tweeters. don't mind the paint it has to come off for some reason it didn't want to work for me =[

Im officially on now what kinda butt kicking do i gotta do to get a sticker.

-

Iv had the x-cons now for i guess 3 weeks and iv put all types of music on them. Very dynamic subs that will play lows and highs like its no sweat. The response is awesome the can play every note i throw at them and they sound amazing. Most all the people that have got to hear them cant say enough about how amazing they sound and for 2 15s they blend so well its not funny. All in all im pretty amazed by them and i cant wait to throw some real power at them. oh i forgot to mention they are loud as a mofo.

don't blame you for fixing it all at once that sucker was pretty stinky last time i stopped by so im sure the leak was pretty bad.

Ill have to come by and see this thing in action sometime this week maybe.

To me the cone and coil are up there. Need to balance weight and rigidity on the cone. The coil needs to be light yet needs to handle large amounts of power and and have a high thermal capacity. Don't get me wrong motors are very important as well but i think in all reality its a big balancing act to make everything work together.
-
sounds good man. i don't doubt your wiring skills man but i guess this way it'll have the wow factor of 4 amps.
-
honesty 4 z15s will be nasty man. pretty amazing woofers for the money and you might be better off getting a 3500d. might be surprised how all the wiring adds up when you gotta run it too 4 amps.
-
Pretty easy man just ring terminals with 1/4 brass bolts and some nuts. Fairly simple and makes for a clean install and a reliable connection. I'm guessing you just drilled the hole and dropped them in there? I want to do it the same way but I'm worried about air leaking. Don't worry about it man just use washers against the wood and torque the chit out of them till they sink in the wood a little. I don't have any problems and i don't see why you would.

you can count on me reminding you.

Get any printed up yet?
