Yep, I was gunna go with a powermaster d3100 but i went and talked to mike jones at my local shop and he swayed me towards the batcap 2000 and said it should handle 3000 rms. I thought it was fishy but who knows, He is a SPL world record holder lol. (edit - or maybe he used to be, idk but he was one a lot of awards.)

From the box to the tailgate its exactly 3 feet. The box is 12 cubes.

Got everything done i could, still waiting on fuses and power wire which should be here tomorrow. Anyways heres pics of what i got done. Got the amp and the battery in. Wired the subs to the amp along with the power, ground and remote. Just have to ground the battery to the frame and run the power wire/fuses. Also got the HU in.

if you are talking about the 99z or the 95z no they sound bad but they get loud off of alot of power the 95 hasn't really had enough testing to say alot about it but the 99 will take alot of power on burps but daily they are average and sound pretty much like shit now if you are talking sundowns z they do sound pretty good lol

I think hes saying he upgraded his alt to batt + with 2 gauge (or thats how it was) and hes running 2 gauge from his batt + to his amp, but hes wondering if he needs to ground his batt - with (2) 2 gauge wires or can he just use (1) 0 gauge wire. And im sure you can just use (1) 0 gauge.

Well you didn't post a budget but i would add the Icon 10 to your list. I had one and man did it kill the lows but it was also very tight and sounded good. I listened to rap, metal, jazz, country, etc, and it all sounded good. Can't go wrong with ssa!

My opinion - I think the xcons are sexier than the dcs. I think they will have more sq and they have a higher power handling. At the same time I think the xls will get louder as they are more SPL oriented than sq. Its really just up to you. I haven't heard either one yet but im installing my 18 inch level 4 xls next week and im getting a demo of the xcons next month =) If this thread is still up ill post my opinion of the 2 after i hear both. Also im not going to vote because i haven't heard either one.
