Hey does anyone have an SPL meter that they are selling? Or does anyone have one that lives near Akron or Cleveland Ohio that you could meter for me? I'd appreciate any help. Thanks!

Will this work if I do this to my port?

Does anyone know what program that is? I'm just getting into enclosure building and need a program...any suggestions would also work. Thanks! -

Okay, I will be finished up my box tonight and had a few questions before I close it all up and get it hooked up. *I've seen online that it says to put weatherstripping around the hole for the sub before putting the sub in the box? This true? *And I've seen people use resin on the inside or their boxes to help the structure? This true aswell? Thanks for the help and thanks to everyone that has helped throughout my first build!!

Hey everyone. I'm starting my first build today and the dimensions of my box are going to be around 34w x 18h x 16deep. I wanted to have subs up and port along the bottom of the box facing the trunk (its a hatchback) and doing that would tune it to high. Am I able to put the port in the middle of the bottom or does the port have to be along the whole edge it is on? If it has to be along the whole edge I will probly put in vertically on the back side on either the left or right edge. Please help, this is urgent. I'm going to be starting it in a couple hours. Thanks, Ted

thx for the advice guys!

quick question. do you use .75 mdf on all sides of the box, like do you double it up anywhere? first box for me. thx
-
so your suggesting subs facing forward and port on the side? because of my limited room i was thinking subs up and a slotted port along the bottom back end. i would get a bigger port this way. if you look at my youtube vids you can get a visual of the room i have. going port on the side i think it may be a little small. **I'll have dimensions later tonight so I'll post them, that would probly help a lot. Thanks for the help! Got the dimensions...I could go 16-18 on length,34 width, and 17-20 on height.

i would like to do that but i dont have access to a meter to figure out what works best and hardly have the money right now to build one box let alone mulitple. (in the process of buying a house). but thanks for the suggestion!
