And what does she think about this?
-
you have to savor that anticipation...

Agreed, but I've got a few things to consider. 1. To drop the final impedance down to 4 ohms, I need two drivers per channel. 2. Because of imaging problems, having two drivers on one baffle isn't feasible, or very easily done full-range. To wire them as a "1.5" way with one taking over lower frequencies requires a crossover, something I'm loathe to do. 3. From my reading, bipole/dipole speakers, while harder to place because of their needed seperation from the wall, will provide a wider and more diffuse soundstage, removing some of the problems with "midrange shout" that full range drivers often encounter.

That's sad. Rainbows are one of my favorite freshwater fish - good looking, better eating Trout tastes so good grilled with the skin still on the back, with breadcrumbs, lemon and dill...

Trail Smelter v. US in the late '40s was a landmark case in international environmental law - don't know if that's the plant you're talking about, but when you gave me your address, I recognized it.

You don't need much for freshwater...unless you're going after pike or something
-
In fact, I might go fishing Sunday. Just have to avoid the game wardens, hehe...
-
We don't have chipotle here, but we do have Cookout...real grilled burgers, grilled chicken, fries, floats, hushpuppies...24/7. I think I might make a run tonight.

Supa_c = teh worthless. Steve - that almost makes me want to break out my Penn loaded with 7lb test on a Shakespeare light-action Ugly Stik and do some freshwater fishing. I don't have a valid license anymore, but w/e I have a 12 foot one I use for surfcasting (bluefish, king mackerel, stripers mostly) but it's been ages since I've been to the beach. IMO, spinning reels (like that one) > baitcasting. At least for sheer casting distance.

Anybody have any personal experiences with bipole speakers? I've read enough technical background and experiences from others to know what to expect, but I was just curious if anyone here has built/used one...
-
Drugs are bad, mmmkay.
-
What's all that worth, five USD?
-
Spinning or baitcasting?
-
Nah, I think 2awg would work better
-
I think I changed my mind...I could use 1/0 or 2awg more, although 4awg would probably work.
-
and I need to sell my 12AU7 preamp. Anybody need a really cool preamp? It would even work with a solid state setup...anything that needs an excellent-sounding source selector and dual channel level controls...I even bought NOS military-surplus tubes for it. I like these new smilies!

Pics of the wires? Might be interested...
-
Steve - your MO is on the way. Let me know when you receive it.
-
Or send me an IM now, if you're on
-
1.) Somebody bought my Decware amp, so I can start work on my latest project. Dual 2A3 triodes, tube rectification, around 3 and a half watts per channel. Should be a good improvement over what I have now. 2.) Tirefryr - send me an IM, I'll be on in an hour or so. 3.) Mrray - I'll be on AIM. 4.) I'm finally getting money back that I'm owed. Life is good sometimes. Anybody want to buy my preamp?
-
W/O pics of where you found them in their "natural state", this thread is I still prefer the original trilogy to the new ones...but have fun.

Canada Steve - I gots yo money, fool. The money order goes out tomorrow morning. Dave_Edwards - saw the "12VGURU" today in downtown B'burg by the record store. Looked around for ya, but you were hiding, apparently...the Magnum is sweet in person! Left you a little surprise on the door handle  Tirefryr - also, hit me up on AIM.
