I answered your question over on CA.com as well, but... I prefer a good two-channel playback system for simple audio...with the correct amp and speaker choice, and a little forethought in installing your system, you can achieve quite a holographic and fluid soundstage.

x2...if I could change some things about modern cars, I would... 1. Take out those goddamned DVD players as standard equipment. If buyers want to add distractions, they can have them installed later. 2. Along the same vein, take out OnStar as a factory deal, and have it as an option for later. I know personally, I'll never buy a GM (or any vehicle, if something like it carries over to the other guys) vehicle with it installed. I'd rather not have a GPS tracking system on my car, unless I know exactly how to disable it.

Greetings - there's a two drink minimum

One of these days, it would be cool to have a motorcycle just for the track - basically, it would stay on the trailer until the weekends, when I could go to a local drag strip or circuit and tear some ass. There's no way I would ever drive a bike on public roads - way too many dumbasses out there. I would feel safe about my riding, but I couldn't put that trust in the guy in front of me to not do something idiotic.

Do you have a skin for it, by chance? I'm just moving beyond learning how to format titles and such, looking for a classy color scheme and display thing for it. Post code if you want.

'Royal Cable"...that's great Even the logo is a ripoff of MC. Lowe's is still looking good at 27 cents a foot

That's actually one of the Dylan songs I haven't heard...if you could believe that. I have every album up to Blood on the Tracks, probably should d/l that one. The lyrics are good.

WMP is the devil. I used to like Winamp, until it started taking a chit on my computer often. After re-installing it about five times, I decided to move on, for now. I'm using Foobar 2K now, and other than a huge learning curve for formatting it, it's pretty cool. Maybe I'll try again with Winamp.

Good point.

And what's funny is, even after the po-po's came to one of our prom afterparties (*sigh*, story for another day...), they let us do whatever we wanted afterwards. My now-ex and I drove over to one of my best friend's house where there were about ten others, and we proceeded to play pool, talk and get pleasantly hammered. It was a good way to end the year.

The biggest problem with using car audio drivers in a home audio app is that not all of them are designed for sealed or ported enclosures like you'd find in a bookshelf monitor or tower speaker. I got in touch with a tech support guy from ID when I was curious about using CX62's in an MTM, but I never got more info about it as I went the full-range route instead. Personally, I would think it's more trouble than it's worth. Good home audio drivers are pretty cheap anyway.

Our graduation was the first one that was forced inside due to rain in 13 years Have fun with it - you'll look back on it. Then...get wasted!

Ehhh...the story line was good, if it had been directed by anyone else but Lucas, it would have been much better. I'm sorry, but he does a great job turning excellent actors into cardboard cutouts. The direction it needed simply wasn't there.

More vids of the things that go boom! Seriously, that video was crazy. I can't imagine that thing coming out of the sky @ 300+mph...definitely would not want to be anywhere near that.
