I'd rock it It'd be a conversation starter at the very least Wheels are a little big for my taste, I'd want more rubber on it...
-
Honestly, for your goals it sounds like it doesn't really matter which ones you go with.

If that "944" implies a Porsche 944, forget about a folded horn and think about something else It's not about the most "hardcore" enclosure, it's about what works best for the goals you have in mind. While I'm a huge fan of horn enclosures at home, in a vehicle they're simply too impractical in most cases. Unless you drive a full size SUV or cargo van.

Well, you'll need a few more posts before you get the chance to do that Where in NC? I'm in Hillsborough for about a month more...

I meant that for what he listens to, I doubt he'll really notice any tradeoff that'll be there. What you mentioned is getting into personal preference and I deliberately avoided that can of worms here

Sounds like you need to consult your amp's instruction manual.
-
Good enough for your application...

I haven't played around with different sized ported alignments much, but I always prefer larger-than-recommended sealed enclosures than smaller ones. I'll trade off power handling for low end extension and efficiency anytime, I don't need to dump a lot of power into a driver.

You make loving fun, Dave.

I didn't want to say anything because this is OT, but... The way you write actually makes it very hard for anyone to help you. I literally cannot understand some parts of what you wrote up there...from the business owner's perspective it would make it very tough to provide good CS if the customer is typing in broken English. You'll find this anywhere that your words represent you...whether it's on a resume, online forums, email, etc. Not trying to be an ass, just telling the truth

I highly, highly doubt we could ever drill enough in the US to produce at the kind of rates that the gigantic Saudi fields discovered 40 years ago can, even today. Sure, we could probably offset imports a little - but not to the point where OPEC would actually begin to feel threatened by us. The better solution would be to refine viable alternatives, thereby making OPEC of no value to us. You may laugh at "hippies", but a sizeable number of them are walking the walk before most in mainstream America, and have been doing it long before being "green" was trendy

Remembering some classic Sport Sedans....
JimJ replied to Aaron Clinton's topic in Automotive and Performance
IMO, the best-looking MB sedans were in the late '60s...beyond that, they just get ugly -
Hmm, owner of the 550F sent me much better pictures, tank doesn't look that bad cosmetically except for a quarter-sized dent in the low point of it...definitely something I could live with until I could find another tank to put on it, or have it fixed if there's a good way to do that...we'll see if anyone snatches it in the next few weeks. The rest of it looks great cosmetically.

So I saw this thin on a car audio manufacturer site
JimJ replied to lilblacky's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
Pretty much. They work great in a home, though... -
Assuming this is the W6v2 you're talking about... I'd probably give the nod to the JL driver, though it's close. Both are enjoyable to listen to...but if I was forced to pick one, I'd take the W6v2 I don't consider price to be a valid comparison point for everyone, the W6v2 is pretty cheap when compared to things like a Focal Utopia, Morel Supremo or Aura NS/MR series (all three of which I'd like to have anyway )

Has anyone had to get a claim processed internationally? I thought at least for domestic shipments, the shipper had to initiate the claim, but I talked with the seller and he said he had opened one. I would think they'd reimburse me, and then I refund him...I've never had to do this before so I'm not quite sure.

Fedex smashed the turntable that I sent to Canuck-land Yay for insurance...

Nothing I've heard from them has impressed me, so no, I wouldn't go with them. I'd rather have one set of large-format tweets in the dash locations from a reputable manufacturer such as Seas, Morel or Vifa.

Dammit, CB350K4 needed the tank re-coated on the inside due to rust, and had damage on the pipes from being dropped (and on the crash bars, but I was going to take those off anyway) All I want is something that hasn't been abused Too much to ask for after 30 years, I guess...
