Yeah...something like that would work.

I can't find exactly what I'm thinking of on the website... Go to HD, they're in the tool section. Next to the welding supplies/air compressors, usually.
-
I've heard awful reviews of that...do a USENET search. Get a real butane or Bernzomatic torch...

They did a timber frame house in the town I used to live in in MA...a while ago, before they got this new guy. They also did the house next to my grandparent's house right outside of Boston.

http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/sto...418&R=200306418 The 12kW model is the one that's at my parent's place...they make a smaller 5kW one, IIRC, if you don't need that much power. The only work you can't do yourself is hooking it up to an LPG tank if you decide to go that route (and I highly recommend it if she's on propane, as it's a whole lot easier than having to worry about fuel during a storm).

Peyton Manning = teh losing. I'm happy.

Yeah, not to say that new wiring is safe...worst shock I've ever gotten is switching that 400A panel on for the first time Didn't find it too funny at the time, though. Dumbasses. You'd think a contractor would know that putting a metal-framed window directly over unprotected Romex isn't quite a wise thing to do

I bet most people that have the know-how or persistence to get the know-how to build a Voight pipe already have screws and glue at home

I wonder how a driver would react to 3-phase? 'Twould be interesting to watch.
-
somebody needs to get access to three-phase AC for some wall sockets My parent's place in NC has a main service panel rated to 400A...that would be fun

The 2A3 one is going to end up in the $800 range, with tubes...mostly because of the custom work/NOS transformers. Good power/output transformers = pricey. As to be expected, because in a directly-heated triode design the bandwidth and noise floor is limited by the transformers. Unless you like listening to 60Hz AC... The new 6BQ5 SE pentode amp was $150 off Eghey. I probably won't put much else into it, doesn't really need anything else.

Some wood and polyfill?
-
Since the powder-coating shop is on vacation for a few weeks, my 2A3 rig is going to have a brushed-copper chassis...that's bling right thurrr.
-
I agree with Kent...for a budget of $50, I could think of better options. Single 4.5" Fostex drivers in a transmission line? Maybe less power handling, but would be very reasonable in price. And a midrange to die for.

Watching the Broncos about to get their asses handed to them by Peyton & Co.

Replaced by the bling.

I had been a member for a year on SIN before I even found CA.com, I think I was still visiting CAF around that time.

A totally dry college campus is like having a wh0rehouse full of virgins...maybe nice in concept, but...
