Who needs loads of power? That's what the speakers are for What we need is a pair of SET MOSFET monoblocks, something like Nelson Pass's Zen built on a commercial scale.

So I don't know why Ryan would think I should second guess if I'm a moderator here or not

Dammit... If someone can find me a place that sells BFQ232 transistors, IEC input jacks with built-in rocker switches, and 10k Alps log pots, I will give "favors" for a long time... Mouser, Digi-key, Jameco and MCM aren't helping me.

My username's still orange, is it?

I like that look for some reason

She could use a few burgers. Certainly better than a simple "meh"

dont you be starting that here <{POST_SNAPBACK}> bwahahaha, you don't have moderator powers! Wait...neither do I. It appears we've reached a conundrum.

that would almost be worth the drive <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I am supposed to be flying into BWI on April 13th... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> A better drive. Going to be staying around? Make the five hour drive and visit us

Read my post, n00b! Think he has the 5500 for the PA.

I don't even think I'm comfortable with the "date" stage yet. I'm content with the "dinner and hit it" strategy. Works well. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Dinner and hit it is the safe bet. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> She can even stick around in the morning... If she makes me breakfast. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> what about wake up sex? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's good too. Hard to go wrong with sex & waffles.

What do you have? If you happen to have a decent preamp, we could do business. The question is, are you in the market for a turntable

Once a Kanadian, always a Kanadian.

Nobody uses Fostex speakers in sealed or even bass reflex enclosures. TLs or BLH's almost exclusively.
-
Fostex sucks for him because he used the wrong enclosures, IIRC... Totally different driver than the others he tested, not built for the same purposes at all. Would be like comparing an IDW to an MT and SPL was the concern.

That guy knows his stuff, but I just have to shake his head at some of the things he spouts out

Wouldn't surprise me... Who was the buildhouse for AA, anyway? I don't think I ever found out...
