All because I don't have a copy of MS Access on this machine, and I can't find my damn demo CD that I know I have lurking around here somewhere. They better have Access on those machines, or it's small-bunny-killing time.

Now I must venture to the sensory depreviation chamber known as the Math Emporium...basically an end store in a local mall that was gutted and replaced with 2500 Imacs and bad quality office chairs...no windows, only light is flourescent panel lighting. After a while, you start to go batty...
-
Even I could beat an early 90's Accord... Well, maybe not, but probably...
-
If you really need onboard amp controls (I prefer to have it on the head unit, makes fiddling with everything leagues easier), you could always get external inline crossovers such as Harrison Labs FMODs...pretty sorry Xover slopes by themselves, but you could always put more of them in line to get a steeper slope.
-
I'd say get a cheap beater for the time being...save your money for the M3. If anything does happen to break in the year or so you'll have it, the Accord would be a lot cheaper to deal with than the BMW...

Nice, except it's an auto

Not bad at all

Needs a winch. And some lights. And meatier tires. BFG Mud Terrains or Goodyear MTRs. I hate white trucks, though...nevah again.

Unless you live in an apartment and have absolutely no friends that have their own place or to help you, you can do it yourself Or someone on here could build you one and ship it for less than what you'd pay locally, most likely. Alpine's boxes are likely tuned to a higher frequency with SPL as a first priority, not necessarily (sp) sounding good...
-
How much of a difference isn't really something you can quantify...but I'm confident they'll sound better than the Type R By tuned correctly, are you talking about a pre-fab? Because most likely if it's pre built it won't be "tuned correctly" at all.

Paying bills sucks...

I mean that you may lose a little bit of output from one RL-i compared to two Type R 10's, but since you're going to have an increase from the ported enclosure anyway, it may not be even noticeable. It would have less overall SPL, but most likely sound better.

Now I need something to eat...probably be lazy and end up at Burger King or something.
-
Actually the next few weeks are looking pretty good, nothing really going on until exams in early May. Last week sucked, though.

True, drives me nuts...these people also tend to CRANK up their crappy ass speakers into the extremely audibly distorted range as well, that and use bass boost as their only friend. Completely ruins the big tv experience for me. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They think they're hot chit with a 50" plasmaaaaaa screen and a Bose 3-2-1 setup. That's when I try to stifle the laughter
-
On a side note, I did absolutely nothing today. Think I stayed in bed until 1pm. It was glorious.
-
Whatever engine you get, you're going to need nawzzz...
-
Have you heard the Treo's? I don't like the idea of a Type R in a sealed enclosure, because the T/S parameters really don't lend themselves to it... If you can live with the output drop, I'd seriously consider one RL-i, ported. May not be that much of a drop in output compared to two sealed R's, actually.

My peeve about huge screens is that very few people that buy huge TV's ever have the audio setup to back it up...yeah, it's an excellent picture, but my laptop speakers sound better

Audio's more important
