The yuppie-ization of Nascar is amusing to me, though... I say leave it the Winston Cup. Let the drivers fight with each other, have a good 'ol, cussin', boot-stompin', hee-hawin' grand ole time. Not this new, "domesticated" version that's becoming popular...pretty soon, all the tracks will be serving major metro areas that aren't in the Southeast...not tiny ass places in NC and TN where it got started.

Out of a 500 mile race or so, I'd say maybe 5 laps are actually worth watching.

I'm actually tempted to get my hands on a few of the Adire/Hemp full ranges...price dependent, of course. If they can market one that's cheaper than Fostex, I'll be all over that.

Put it on a 12VDC battery out of the vehicle...eliminate all potential variables. If it doesn't power up with no load on a known power supply, time to start poking around with a DMM, seeing what's getting power and what isn't...

How big ? My dad has a radial arm saw, and I believe he also has a compound miter. I'll check with him tonight and see <{POST_SNAPBACK}> 8 or 10 inches would be plenty. I'll probably end up going home in a couple weeks (whenever there isn't a show this month, heh) and get them built then.
