    Welcome to the IHoP

Well, so much for having everything done by Friday night. But I'd rather take a little more time with a fix than do it half-assed and make it really stand out. Sooooooo I'm off to Lowe's again for the thinnest poplar trim they stock. Really hoping they have 1/8" with a roundover, that would be tits.

Depending on who's in town, would be a kick for more SSA members to show up than SIN members

Think this final coat of filler is going to do it... Then comes three coats of light poly. Making a Lowe's/Quizno's run here shortly, need to pick up the screws for the amp bases and some really, really high grit sandpaper.

Well, audio's easy enough...just low level RCA's from your soundcard if it supports it, or 1/8" stereo to RCA's from the headphone jack if it doesn't.

    Infinite Baffle

Best low frequency extension, excellent transient response, higher efficiency than a smaller sealed alignment... Drawbacks are you're not going to get a lot of output like you mentioned, and if you have a lot of amplifier power, you're going to be using a fraction of it.

When I ordered from tubedepot.com they had crazy-fast shipping, I paid with Paypal and got my tubes the next day. They're pricey up front though.

    dd vs. new re

I was thinking the same thing...there are several advantages to a quarter-wave pipe, but SPL isn't one of them They improve efficiency somewhat over a bass reflex, but they're not peaky at all if built and tested correctly. Would make a bad choice for an SPL setup.

    Another box build.. pics :)

Now I don't know about a day, but a week is certainly doable even if you're a neat freak and wait for the wood glue to cure overnight before carpeting, or sand/fill all the screwholes, or hell, even piano gloss it...
