I'd still rather have a pair of Kleinhorns
-
The Imp. horn would be sweet...although not as a subwoofer cabinet. Too much HF remnants up to 600Hz or so. Although Steve has come out with the "Sub Only" version that takes care of that.

good luck, have fun, dont die <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nah, won't die, only so much they can do to me over the phone Oh, if it was a local place I wouldn't have left until I got my money.
-
what happeneded to your preamp <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They sold me something that didn't live up to what was advertised, so I returned it...and never got my refund check. And for $750, I'm not letting this one go away...
-
If I don't get a call from Hawthorne Stereo today about my preamp refund, tomorrow they're going to wish they had called me :D Never make a quiet guy raise his voice...

Dave's in teh IHOP? w00t w00t we've finally corrupted him completely
-
I should get one of those...it would be fitting on the van
-
They made square watermelons, I don't see why baked ones are that far off... Fried watermelon would be a good start though.

I can see Tom's back in regular form

Actually, some old laptops have plenty of uses. Toshiba Satellites from the late '90s are prized because they use next to no battery power, and tolerate 12VDC power. My XPS won't even turn on until you give it a nice steady 17VDC source, which sometimes you can't find running in the middle of a field with gel cells.

That laptop isn't so old, I have one older Dell Latitude XPi...first one in the series I think. Running Win95, indirect lightning strike took out the battery's internal regulator but it still runs off of AC power. I've abused it over the years, and it just won't die...

Would have been better if it had been an EKG... in that case, there better have been pics posted.

I've got an idea. Come down and chill with us for a week

Used to know someone that worked at Lewis Gale, but it's been months since I've talked with her...was an...interesting personality.

Shanna - You know the thing you signed me up for at the IHOP? Months ago? They called me "Do you have any children?" "Ummm...no, I'm quite sure of that." bwahahhahaahahahaahaha

I think I mentioned this on CA.com...there's only one type of recording medium that actually increased sales over the last few years...and it ain't on a little shiny disc The new trend in single ended amplifiers is really only ten years old or so, after the Japanese were crazy enough to experiment with "puny" 10 watt or lower amps. Who in their right mind would bother with three and a half watts from a 2A3? But...they're making a comeback I bet people would have told you in 1975 that triodes were dead. I wonder why Svetlana is now producing new designs for triodes specifically with audio in mind. Things come in waves...the iPod might be pushing hi-fi out of the mainstream, but it really was never in it to begin with. If only people didn't sell their record players for the latest and greatest

It's hiatus time for me at Chitaudio.com. A couple of months should be good...

Around here, you'd be hard pressed to find someone who HASN'T seen it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> On Chitaudio.com, you'd be hard pressed to find someone that can name any of the actors. But ask them about "Get Rich or Die Tryin'"... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I dont know the actors <{POST_SNAPBACK}> some nobody named Ron Howard, and some dude that was in a movie about a big shark...
