The hard way being dual mono attenuators? No thanks, already been down that road once Blah blah blah, it's the purist signal path, blah blah...yeah, and it's a royal PITA to have to come off the couch every time you want to change volume and fiddle with not one, but two volume knobs. Especially if you have the balance set to compensate for speaker placement..."Hmm, was that five clicks to the right or four on the left channel?" Give me a stereo volume knob and balance control any day. And a remote is more than welcome
-
So do I, but it's not going to happen, not with the group of n00bs that's there now... People have changed, even when we first started going there it was well on its way down from being a helpful place.

Rogue Audio 66... even comes with a remote, w00t w00t

And Tom, I'll have pics tomorrow

what's wrong with it? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> over heats water pump is shot <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Water pump was going out on the van a couple of weeks ago... $350'ish.

I planed a few pieces of poplar down so they'll fit on the equipment rack...going to make a cover-up piece for the front this week. Was on my list of things to do before Tom got here, just didn't have time beforehand. Should be the finishing touch on the rack Preamp order went out today...MF.com order going out sometime this week.

hmm...it's been tempting We could delete everything... I'm strangely comfortable with it.

Life's too short to deal with idiots.

Anything of value? I think I pissed Goob off the last time I was on there, his attitude rubbed me the wrong way... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think you did too. He did not sound like a happy camper. and i think you know the answer to that first question <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Did you speak your mind to the boss man Jim?? Oh and mrray13, your pics WILL be pm'd to you tonight after I get done with work. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> In so many words, I basically told him he wasn't concerned with the welfare of the forum or what the OG members thought because we weren't advertising revenue to him. I still think he doesn't give two chits about the day-to-day operation of the forum, as long as he gets his clickthroughs. And, like I said in the backroom, money has no IQ. That was the last time I checked it...haven't signed on since. His attitude towards Mike (Goddy) pissed me off as well, if someone can't see the writing on the wall then they have no business being the admin of a forum like that. Or, I want nothing to do with it.

Oh well. 20K here I come.

Didn't even notice that

The 3dB gain/loss is over the entire bandwidth...so yes, over two octaves or so, it'll balance out. At any one specific frequency, however, who knows
-
Perhaps, perhaps not...depends on what the tuning frequency is I know if I got another driver and sealed it, my SPL score would go up dramatically...in part because I wouldn't have the nasty impedance rise I get now
-
You can run a sub-$200 deck, and run an outboard processor in the future to give you the flexibility of a higher-end one. A 7 or 10 band parametric EQ would be plenty, and it could be bypassed for SPL runs. Webster used to do this with an Alpine 9807 (IIRC), and a Memphis EQ...worked perfectly.
-
Maybe... damn side effects
-
My left hand has broken out in something...little itchy bumps starting at my wrist and covering my palm. But I can't for the life of me figure out what I could have had a reaction to.
-
I'd bring Rocky, he'd want to play with everyone...Reba sees anything smaller than her as potential lunch. She just about scared the living chit out of the office cat at the vet the last time I brought her in. 60 pounds of pissed-off bull terrier is pretty intimidating to a little cat
-
For a burp deck, what do you care what it has in it Alpine and Pio both make several models under $200, all of which have pause buttons...
-
Under the seats? "Oh chit, my soundstage is under my ass!"
-
Nah, u juss aint gud wit speling. Like, omg.
-
Would make a good truck for tearing ass over sand dunes...probably need 70 gallons of gas with that V12

If this were CA.com or CSO you'd be chewed out for bumping an old thread
