That's positively finished compared to some around here... Battleship gray, no seats (driver's or passenger's), no bumpers, no dashboard...

The 10 gallon gas tank comment made me chuckle a little, and then cry on the inside.

Nah...absolute worst case, I have an uncle that lives in Portland who's been bugging me to visit his new place, I'd just drive up and pay a visit from there That would probably be in early August sometime.

I want to make love with that port... All night long.

Yeah, but the gas money would be about what I'd be getting back anyway

I swear...some people... Called the Seattle police today, no real luck there although they were pretty helpful in what they could do. I filed a report to the FBI's internet fraud division, so we'll see if the Feds get back to me.

Could be all three...

Maybe it's a joke...

I used to know a guy that did that for a living...high-risk tree removal service. He also was a bodybuilder, started when he was 40 or something, he was in his late 40's when I knew him...guy was built. And of course, in the Southeast, hurricane season pretty much guarantees you a business...

My project for July...if it ever stops f'ing raining...is to repair the rust that's forming on the van's drip rail and at least put a coat of primer on it to prevent it from getting worse. I'm thinking I need to do the following - * Using masking tape/dropcloths, cover all the painted areas I don't want anything to get on. *Sand down the rusted/bubbled portions with heavy grit sandpaper * Spread some naval jelly on the rusted sections, on both sides of the rain gutter...sand this lightly off when dry down to bare metal. * Prime * Color coat Any tricks or things I'm forgetting? Like I said, I'm a finish/bodywork n00b...don't need this to look showroom quality, but rust on a white vehicle doesn't look too attractive either.

With that, I shall retire. *poof*

I need to do something to make me angry for my phone call tomorrow... I think I'll read CA.com for a while in the morning.

Parametric Equalizer Help!
JimJ replied to Deathwish238's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
You can individually adjust each frequency that you want to boost/cut, as well as the bandwidth and of course amplitude. What frequencies you want are going to depend on your setup and what you're looking to get out of equalization - if you're just trying to tame a nasty peak in cabin, shoot for a flat response to the ear or emphasize something your speakers don't bring out well. But in general, it's always better to have to use the EQ to attenuate something rather than boost it. -
mmm, easy access...

like I'd know what [insert some obscure physics term here] is.

Sure, closet nerd. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If I'm a closet nerd, you're leading the parade...

The reason I came across it is because that guy was responding to another's question on DIYaudio, asking why there aren't more 833 SET amps out there, hehe.

Makes my SV811's with their 500V plate voltages and 20lb. transformers seem positively...wimpy That's the same kind of tube used in the $350,000 WAVAC's from Japan. In-sane.
