That's the next step. I've been writing down his responses, so all I'm waiting for is for him to come back and say I agreed to have the payment sent out Monday instead of when we talked last Friday. Just got a jury summons in the mail...fudge August 22nd...day after classes start at Tech. Thanks Orange County.

The only other guy from my HS to actually make it more than a year at VT has an AK, I forget where it's from though. Another one of my friends has an AR-15 that he's sunk quite a bit of money into. I've shot both, neither are real practical weapons, unless you're invading someplace...the AK gives you the feeling you could run over it with a truck in the mud and it would still work, but it's not terribly accurate. The AR is far more of a precision instrument, but you get the feeling if you looked at it the wrong way it'd jam up. And .223 isn't a very useful round in the woods...

I thought about going with a full tube preamp for mine, but...there's no getting around the fact that a AC-heated, tube rectified cathode follower is noisy. Especially with efficient speaks. The nice thing about the Rogue is that it should be stone quiet...

Nah, needed to tweak the wooden base a bit, I built it a little too small and it probably would have seperated the miter joints over time. So I had to bring it back with me from B'burg and fiddle with it.
