Even with paint you're looking at two coats of primer...the first coat just to fill in the MDF, the second to actually seal it

it's a tulip...lol I'm probably going to lose the bottom foot of it or so where its head went into the side (actually the lesser part of the damage), but there was already damage to the airbrushing there for many years so I'm not worried about it. Another reason why I need a steady, pretty well paying jorb...wait a year or so, buy a Pinz or Scout or 'Rover and turn the van into my pet SPL beater. In which case I'd let it get as ugly as possible.

First shop I went to is the high end of quotes...going to State Farm later today just to talk things over, I don't have collision on the van but maybe they can recommend places that they've dealt with. It doesn't need to look like it came out of the showroom, but then again, I want it done right.

I heard an upfiring port setup in a Ranger once...two 10" Rockford HX2's, amp rack, single port in the center. Got decently loud, surprised me.

And BB&T's phones and online services are down, so I can't check the balance in my account until morning. Some things just tell you "get the hell to bed and call it a night."

FUCK... Coming back from the airport, good-sized deer decided to try me. Went into the driver's side just past the door, left a decent sized dent in the lower panel. Bent the bottom pretty well. Sounded a lot worse than what it looks like, but I guess I'll see the full effect in the daytime. Oh well, it's off to the body shop tomorrow morning Might as well get the surface rust taken care of at the same time, lol, might as well have it come out looking better than it went in.

I hate blade guards on table saws...just keep the piece aligned when you're taking it off, shouldn't have a problem at all.
