Someone who's up in national standings year in and year out...been around the scene...not afraid to travel thousands of miles a year to chase points. It's one of those "don't call us, we'll call you" sort of things.

You don't need to run a speaker at its full RMS rating to have it break in...the suspension will naturally loosen up over time.

ugh, studying tonight is going to suck i feel the laziness coming on strong

found a used GFA-545 on CL locally...haven't got a reply back yet though.

damn, Adcom makes a very boring amplifier...but I can't say no to the price...

I don't know about justified, but I can understand it. To a typical teenager who doesn't know squat about good sound, the fact that he can buy a few R's, throw an ugly box together and go rattling down the street is appealing. I can think of a few fudgeable 50 year olds, but 90 is pushing the envelope...just a bit...

Does he want to sell? I'm interested
-
That's an even scarier prospect than trying to show off
-
But if the "music's" overprocessed, artificial, untalented bass-heavy tripe to begin with, what's he missing?

Thanks, I think I found a better deal on some white-coned Junk But Louds Basically the same woofahs as the Altecs everyone has a boner for, just made about a decade later and nowhere near as collectible. Also might have scored an Adcom amp cheap on CL... I love it when a plan comes together...

Sean, do you know anything about the larger Seas mids? The CA26's...might be in the market for a 10" mid soon, and if they're anything like their smaller cousins the CA's fit the bill.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ALTEC-LANSING-604-8G-1...1QQcmdZViewItem Wow. Never seen a pair for sale in that condition. I've heard those woofers at the AK meet, they have a midrange that pwns all but really need a horn on the top end.

VT has some decent programs, competitive as all hell in engineering but I guess any school is when you get to that level. But they'll probably look at an out-of-state app for a little bit longer, after all they're giving it to us hard in the wallet

C'mon, you live in a college town, that's even more of a reason to attend
-
And I've probably taken enough History credits to minor in the damn field...might actually check on that, I wonder what the requirement is

I know I've confused the fudge out of my advisors, they're still probably trying to figure out why I took a 400-level environmental law/policy class in the spring of my freshman year...but waited until my junior year to take intro Psych

I'm having a hard time understanding the original post.

I think it just hit me a few months ago what I'd like to do for the time being, by no means for the rest of my life but if I can take things a couple years at a time I'll be happy with that... I'm OK with the idea of graduating with a degree in something that's totally unrelated to what my current employment would be. Most of my knowledge of theories or abstract principles has come from either reading about what other people have blown up and fixed, or blowing something up myself and then wondering...hmm...why did that almost kill me

Sounds like you need to improve your midbass response first...
