I'm actually amazed I haven't screwed anything up yet, my Rava's unshielded and I half-expected something to get nailed when I was moving...
-
Dual 1 ohm would work well for you. What's the rest of the system, or is it just a substage?
-
If you feel comfortable buying something off Ebay and being on your own in case it fails, go for that. If you want something that has excellent customer support should anything go wrong, spend more for the Soundsplinter. As for buying from TC direct, I've been disenchanted enough with their online presence not to ever deal with them...

The major difference? Everything Very different motor designs.
-
.Indeed. I wouldn't trust WinISD numbers much, as soon as you start cutting drywall the results are going to be different
-
Dedicated EQ's per channel would be the ultimate, yes.
-
Looking up Thiel and Small's original research would pretty much be mandatory, I would assume

Going to take some very large enclosures... Really efficient horn-loaded subbass enclosures aren't going to fit in cars or smaller SUV's, even space-saving designs like the Decware Wicked One get big in a hurry if you scale up.

"Wall" and "Temporary" are two words that never should go together...

SOMEWHERE IN THE AUDIBLE RANGE OF SOUND ANYTHING ELSE IS A HAPHAZARD GUESS HOPE THIS HELPS
-
I've seen better, but OK Question is, did you gain anything with it?
-
Basically a sealed enclosure 4 to 10 times greater than the Vas of the sub. Not what you'd want for the BTL. In that case, it sounds like the BTL is good for you. A good rule of thumb is to get as much cone area as you can fit and still stay within enclosure recommendations.
-
I wouldn't use a BTL in IB...ever... Like I said in the other thread, if you actually want decent SQ, go with a Q. Or re-evaluate what you want.
-
Cross-posting isn't needed, you'll get the answers you want with one thread.
-
If you want decent SQ I'd look into the Q line, not the BTL.
-
I'm willing to bet there is a reason...you don't get two spontaneous mechanical failures unless RF's quality control has really hit rock bottom. Do you have a shop or anyone near you with an oscilloscope? You might be surprised at what the amp's doing...
-
Looks like the uploading stuff works great I'm probably not seeing it, but is there a way to specify how many images to view per page? One thing, I noticed the "Slide Show" option wasn't marked like that, it just had "XXXXXX" where the title should be.
-
I regret selling my Decware Zen, that was a hell of an amp, and I doubt I'll get another for the same price again... Car audio wise, I don't know why I bought an Avionixx 800.2 back then. Falling into the eD-hype, I guess.
-
Is it just me, or is "groundpounding" synonymous with "making a big public nuisance/ass of myself"?
-
It's not like you have midbasses that can't take being crossed over that low...given proper deadening, mounting and sealing of the door panel, those will definitely go that low
-
At least my eD product just sits there and doesn't get gunk on my windows
-
HBD! Pictures of Hooters girls?

Given enough cone area and enclosure design, anything can get loud
