MECP certification and install ability have absolutely nothing to do with each other
-
Sounds like the BL would be perfect.
-
Both good choices for what he's looking for as well.
-
Those are really apples and oranges. Keeping that in mind, I'd go with the RL-s... "Premium sound" or not, I'd bet that upgrading more than just adding a sub would give you some big benefits.
-
Are you thinking before you're typing?
-
mmmm gin Beck's for me now though.
-
I wouldn't get it, personally...
-
Is it loud enough for you? Relying on a meter to tell you whether you should be happy or not is silly if you're not competing seriously...
-
Solid state power is cheap... You're going to need something more powerful than your Pioneer. There are a ton of amps in the 1kW range that would fit Mach5's recommendation. How much do you have to spend?
-
But you know somebody's going to buy a set. That's a lot of profit being made
-
That'll do fine. It's just for testing, anyway.

Speaking about crazy high end stuff, I was reading a review in TAS today about Nordost's new top end line, replacing the Valhalla...the Odin line. $16K per meter for the RCA interconnects, and $20K per for the speaker wire. No thanks.

I can play the organ and they are an absolute joy. I do want to learn the Cello, though, so that might take the cake at some point. Stringed instruments make even ridiculously high-end stereo seem cheap... Maybe that's why all the harp players I've seen show up in tiny wagons that are 15 years old

If you want to check the signal coming from the HU then you need to make an RCA probe well if I'm using it to set the gains on the amplifier which do I need to measure, the output voltage from the HU or the output voltage from the amplifier? -John Output of the amp, but you might want to check where/if your head unit starts clipping on the preouts, because your amp will amplify that as well.

80 foot ceilings don't hurt either.
-
I hate listening to full-size pipe organs because they make any stereo setup I've heard sound so puny.
-
You can't get a 2 ohm load out of a single 2 ohm DVC sub...either 1 or 4, for a combined 2 ohm load, maybe.

Resin adds very little structural strength, unless you add mat along with it. There's a tradeoff with bracing - you can make a very well braced enclosure with internal dividers, but you'll likely lose on a sensor with it.
-
That kind of attitude won't get you far here...thanks.

http://www.madisound.com Vifa and Seas both have low-profile models...
-
You're talking about automotive-style mounting versus large flanges? Because there are plenty of dome tweets that'll fit on A-pillars.

Go over to http://www.zaphaudio.com and read up on some tweets...

The IDv3? If it's the speaker I think you're thinking of it's a very nice sounding driver, I heard the 8" version and was impressed.

We already said it was a bad idea... I'm trying to find an article that can illustrate it for you.
