Or just torrent it.

We've been talking about a reference disc for way too long to not do something... I guess the biggest problem is finding good file hosting for that much bandwidth. Transferring FLAC would just eat it up.
-
I'd rather have more cone area...unless you're trying to fit into a specific SPL pressure class.

Crossed wires!

Probably took a diode out with it...but replacing a blown Zener diode is a heck of a lot easier than replacing the whole PSU. Open it up and pray...about the best you can do in this situation. -
fi dust cap getting pretty warm??? on a fibl15 with cooling fully load

Those holes provide more ventilation and help more air circulate around the coil, keeping its temperature down. -

Damn. -
OK, unless a moose gets it.

I couldn't see myself getting one, although I don't see myself buying a car that was made in this century anytime soon either... -

I'm glad. -
$60 for an effing ported box plan and some halfass Sketchup drawings. Man, there's money to be made off noobx...I've been missing out
-
Don't take this the wrong way, but IMHO you overpaid. Water under the bridge now though...

It's posted under the specs for every driver on their site.

Nothing he's doing is that unique... We can't tell you if that box is going to work because there's no dimensional info on it, but as long as it's within Fi's recommended specs for a bass reflex you're good.

Not with the 15, but I've heard the 12 in just such an app... Loved it.

BTL's are very efficient, for what they are... You can reduce Mms even more and have softer spiders, but in SPL applications there's a fine line between gaining efficiency and making a woofer that's mechanically unusable in the lanes... There are JBL, Selenium, B&C and other woofers out there that have higher efficiencies, and probably could take 2kW or so...but I'm not sure how they'd hold up to 4kW repeated burps, if at all.
-
I loved the Q sealed, I'm sure the SSD with copper coils does an admirable job as well. That'd be how I'd run it if I ever got one.

This is why you don't build a wall unless you know what's involved in a proper build... http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/loca...aralyze01e.html I know there's been a lot more cases than just this, but I got this link from another board I'm on today...with some of the posts I've seen here, it couldn't hurt...

Unless it'd be a radical departure from the Poly 6.5", I wouldn't really see the point.
-
Nope, I got it from teh Audiokarma.orgs.

A double stack magnet, about half the power handling, soft parts changes... 12", one driver, about 1.4kW, Ford E-150.
-
It very well could. Only way to know in your case is to test...which if you care about SPL you should be doing anyway.
-
I liked the v1 I heard, but apparently they've made some changes to them so I'm not sure my comments would still hold.

lmao @ sub Looks great, I've found a pair of 6.5" BIB's to fit my Sigmas within driving distance to me but the guy isn't the most prompt in exchanging emails...so I'm waiting to set up a time to pick them up Those look fine as is. Mine are going to have to be painted, bare MDF... Have you experimented with varying the stuffing density? Scottmoose, Greg Monfort and others have done pretty much everything you can do with one over on DIYAudio.
