I started listening to some of those records last night....thanks I've got a friend in NC that has a record cleaning machine, some of them need deep cleaning but that's no problem. Feel free to unload any more you want

    2 15" Q's or BL's

Just because an amp does a certain amount of power doesn't mean you need to use all of it you can set the gains according to how much head unit preout voltage you have furthermore you'd be right in the recommended range anyway as Nick pointed out

This looks perfect for my computer speaker needs. If I ran something like this how would I power it? Also I would want to put a little 6.5" woofer for sub duty. How hard is it to build a crossover? Its something I've really been wanting to learn. and we've been going over current flow and resistance in Phys II so it seems it would go hand in hand. Lastly how much would this setup run? A small integrated amp would work well for that. I'd go with vintage gear because 1) for the price range you're probably looking at, mass market gear sucks and 2) you won't need a lot of power. Building crossovers is easy, designing them is not.

http://cgi.ebay.com/Altec-Voice-of-the-the...1QQcmdZViewItem I'm very, very tempted... Really rare to see a set in that kind of condition. Won't stay at that price for long though

Nope, powers on but doesn't show anything...looks like water dripped through the vent holes in the top and pooled behind it. I'm actually kinda surprised it didn't start a fire...

Ain't this some shit... Wake up to find a puddle of water underneath the A/C unit in the living room. Which is just where my desktop's CRT happens to be. I have another one exactly like it, but it's still annoying...ironically, annual apartment inspections are tomorrow...

    Fi vs TREO

I've never heard anything from Treo that sounded remotely musical.
  14. If you can find compatible replacements, and you want to save the amp, I don't see why not.

    High Wattage Passive Components

I've seen large formats in dash locations before...seems to work very well if there's a lot of depth out to the windshield. In the kicks would be another choice, if the midbass/midrange is going there anyway.
