Fiberglassed spare tire well?

There are plenty of other woofers that will go up to 1K or so...but the MAW-10 isn't what you're looking for. Something like a B&C, Eminence Alpha or Dayton cast frame would do that, as well as be a lot easier to mate with a horn. Given the right (read: big) enclosure, you'd have plenty of midbass reaching down to the subbass depths with ease. I'd also advise against a horn tweet and compression midrange, might as well get a horn for everything 1K and above.

The everlasting fame and glory? Speaking about engineering, there was a pretty good film on IFC today with Tom Dowd & his influence on how multitrack recording came around...didn't realize how many seminal recordings he was a part of. IFC's good for more than just gratuitous boobies, I guess IFC? Independent Film Channel.

If you're going for "LSQ", I'd go with the SSDs, but not because of any output differences...

After seeing an original Z1 blow up in front of my eyes at the '06 Drag finals, I'd stay away from them unless you have some steaks that need grilling. No experience with the newer '1a so I can't comment on those.

"Clarity" is going to be enclosure dependent, but getting loud and having clarity aren't inclusive...
