Nothing even good on TV today, ALCS doesn't start until tomorrow, the Cowboys don't lose until Sunday...
-
Until about next May or so.

Trunk? What's that? And yeah, the wind's picking up here...but...that's expected...

A little chillier ? The temp dropped 30 degrees over night It's great out there now Just had some ice cream...it's perfect ice cream weather. Well, maybe if there are flurries.

For what you're using it for, I'm sure it'll be adequate.

Going to campus to get some lunch...looks like they're more clouds out there and it's chillier today, guess we're finally getting into October...

Are these the true Class A's? I love the brushed aluminum finish...
-
TXA-1000D? Is that the new style Cadence, black trim with chrome finish? If so I've seen one fail for no good reason at all...I'd look at your signal on an oscilloscope to see if there's anything wrong.

Remember, those are in dBA, not a single frequency reading like you're going to get from a sensor like a Termlab. 150dBA is a lot different than 150dB @ 50Hz.

Off to class I guess.

At least he got the one channel part right, I guess...

silly monoblock users we've just been listening to low frequencies all this time

If you actually care about SQ there are other woofers I'd choose first. You could get it to sound good by using a lot of them in an enclosure that didn't allow for a lot of cone movement, so the coil wouldn't have a chance to move much before you got the desired amount of output...as soon as you get the suspension moving much linearity is out the window. The Q's in a sealed enclosure would be your best choice if SQ is important, even the BL's are going to be peaky and artificial...

Pretty soon there's transformers and hookup wire piling up...
-
Then I'd need an amp to power them... shit, this is how trouble starts...

Still got a pair of cubic foot boxes that are begging for a full range project. Thinking about talking to 95Honda about those Adire Kosala clones he built...would work perfectly...

Beautiful here. 77, light breeze, few clouds...

When I go back I could take a flush trim bit to the ugly BIB's and bedliner them, I kinda want to hear them upstairs in my parent's place, they'd throw one hellacious vertical image with the way the ceiling slopes...
-
We could hook them up to an amp and give 'em a listen this weekend though, see what needs to be adjusting in the stuffing part...

This weekend. I need to bring them back to NC to finish them (probably next weekend), because that's where my finish nail gun and dado setup is...I don't trust Dave's wobbly table to do dado work
