If it isn't Sinfoni, I'm truly stumped.
-
I swear, I don't talk to you for a week and all your plans change Let's see...Tru Tech?
-
Technically, Ryan got it
-
In that case, Brooksie's truck is like 10 years' worth of sales at retail prices
-
Now you're getting close
-
Oh, I passed 18k posts.
-
Some nobody company with some nobody products...hell, I wonder how they make a profit... (I want them)
-
Doubtful you'll hear a significant difference without doing something else, whether that is adding more power (and the SSD's would be better for that, with the options in coil material) or more woofers
-
I don't prefer ported setups. Ya see, to some people sealed sounds better than ported and vice versa. I agree with you, but if you're looking for significantly more output and won't change, then adding more linear displacement is really your only option
-
I meant why was he bothering with sealed enclosures when bass reflex ones would be better suited for it
-
I wouldn't say the SSA bassheads, but bassheads in general given the demographics on forums like this one, Caraudio.com, ROE, SMD, places like that. Look at what happened to Fi's X series, compared to BTL's sold in the same time Shivas were extremely popular on DIYAudio as Sonosub candidates

Why not ported?

6 volt batteries
JimJ replied to dtcharneski's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
You could, but unless you're talking about a 18V separate system I don't really see the point. Unless you're sitting on a pile of free 6V's to use. -
With the absence of Adire, they fill a very desirable niche for a low power, inexpensive driver But on a forum where you have people that want 3kW amps before they know how to use a voltmeter, well, I can see why they'd be overlooked
-
Basically what I'm doing. Primer gives character

and where? 11-8 & 11-9 in Nashville It's not in some field in Kentucky? I'm surprised
-
And to think, they were promising this driver ever since they stopped making the one I bought in '03...and this is the best Milne & Co. can come up with? Is it just me, or is the motor shifted as well? If you mentioned that in your text I apologize, just something that caught my attention.
-
When is Finals, btw?
-
Just something to keep in mind, the amp is not at full power all the time. Anytime you have the volume down, guess what, you have less than maximum rated power
-
Diesel, WVO conversion. Yes, it's not a fix for the mileage, just a bypass The only thing stopping me right now is the lack of a garage, I don't want to buy a vehicle if I don't have a fully covered area to work on it.

Phoenix Gold new vs old?

I bought mine in '03, while PG was still under its old ownership. The Tantrums and the Titaniums were the last of those older lines. -

How much power do you need? I may be selling my Tantrum 1200.1 in the coming weeks
