I don't ever remember it being on Oink either. There's a 10-CD box set from Hendrix that I need to replace too, it came up as MP3 on Re-Upped but I'm hoping someone on ST puts the FLAC one back...

Wire the voice coils in series, so the amp sees a 2 ohm load. The cool thing about the 1000/1 and amps like it is that if you add another dual 1 ohm driver, you'll still have the same amount of power at a different impedance.

T/S parameters are usually given with coils either paralleled or series'd, so no. Using one voice coil would cut power handling in half.
