You've been told wrong, cone size has nothing to do with musicality. Either of those choices would work, IMO

Are you shuffling by album or individual track? I've never really noticed a pattern with it...

If you're interested in Fi, the Q line seems like it fits the bill perfectly...wouldn't recommend the BTL for that.

With a wall and presumably not-the-best source material, do you actually think you're going to be able to hear the slightest difference? I had a 2A3 triode amp that was around 3% THD just under the clipping threshold...but the harmonic content was quite different too

the ex had a pair of 'em really soft, but totally worthless as pets I have killed a few in the lab, the inner ear of the chinchilla is very similar to the human ear making them great research items.
