We're a horrible influence

His way will result in a box that will peak much higher, and sound very exaggerated with a significant loss in the low end.

Time to break out the witbier

There's so much truthiness out there now it's incredible

If they really want to boost our economy, they should give us a certain amount of free gas credit for a few months Horrendous idea.
-
I'm going to start writing down the names of the stations here that don't put 10% ethanol in their gas...I don't really mind it for the van, but if I'm on a bike that's carbureted, I'd rather not lose that power in weird fuel...

The BTL will work, but it'd be helpful to know what his definition of "decent SQ" is.

Class A? Sure, maybe for the first couple milliwatts

I think your friend is confused...
-
I agreed with your first post more The phrase "daily setup" irks me about as much as ""SQL"" does...

Let's put it this way - if the power handling sticks out to you, you should look at other subs "Free air" would imply the front and back waves mingling, as you said in an IB setup they don't They work great for music, too, not just movies. Probably my favorite kind of subbass setup, given the space...

It's annoying how quickly cash disappears, between driving to NC and replacing the battery in the bat cave I'm down $200...

The SLSs would be a great option, but I'd think you'd have to run them with a pretty low Xover point, so your midrange is going to have to cover a lot of territory. I see you're dealing with a manual, may be hard to get them on-axis with the clutch pedal but it can be done -
i've been on the wagon 3 weeks and it is brutal! My apologies then

I couldn't believe it, Wally World had Hoegaarden...so I got two 6-packs in addition to the case of Stella I was going there for originally.
-
Probably not. In addition to being a pile of shoddy construction, the Brutus is going to have the same "issue" with driving a 3 ohm load, it's not going to produce all the power it can. What's your price range? If you can wait a month, I might be selling a PG Tantrum 1200.1 for $300...unlike the Hifonics or the Sundown for that matter, it'll do 1.4kW between 2 and 4 ohms...

This is the reasoning I've heard, as best as I can remember The price of oil barrels is based on future predictions as to supply and demand. The gas at the pump was originally purchased in crude barrel form some time before (I don't know how long exactly, a few weeks?). Anyway, since our economy tanked, everyone else's did as well which caused India and Chine to cut back development a bunch. This removes a future demand of the oil so now it's worth less. Oil futures are about a month in advance, so futures being traded now are for Dec. delivery, IIRC.

I doubt they'll stay in business long with an attitude like that. Usually, at first mention of ripping seats out, you become their best source of income that month
-
Heck, last week when I went back to NC there were places at $3.38/gal... I agree completely, it's artificially low, while I won't complain filling up the E-150 I don't think this is going to last long. Especially going into the winter.

That's not the first time I've heard of that. Sucks that women do have better high frequency hearing than we do

http://raleigh.craigslist.org/mcy/890706978.html And so it begins, that's a $1500 price drop from this summer...
-
Depends on what you consider "low"...

I should be...I'll have a job of some sort by then so I'll have a reason to be up here, Dave and Ramos are almost guaranteed to be here
