KU40 Where can you get a meter at to see how your far your voltage drops?
-
You went from a 12 cube box to a 20 ... You Obviously want the 18's So I would go with them. Do you listen to alot of rap? Or Rock? Or Jazz?
-
Man 18's freakin Lug, No matter what Fi you get they Will Lug. Just depends on which series you want ( All will Beat your back out) in your height how far up are you going? How much into your back window?

I hate the wing. and yes the fiberglass is cockeyed, im still debating on what to do about it. The customer will be coming back this weekend to get more work done. so i have till then to figure out how to cover that up. Can the right side be evened out with sanding? or will that comprimise the paint? The only reason you can the FG level is so noticeible is because its white on black and there is a black racing stripe going down the middle ( a Straight) black stripe. So it kinda pops out at ya. Josh

awesome install, rims yea, wing ehhhhhh.... Yea the FG is cockeyed as hell, but if he is ok with it

So I got some pic of putting in the components today, They are not complete yet, still gotta pop off the door and hook up the crossovers. Just took these for the installation manual i'm making for english class. Anyway here they go, I will be puttin in the system Friday. As you can see I like to take alot of pics haha, and that I had to dremel quite a bit of the adapter out. They said it would drop right in... HA Josh

does anyone know how to and if you can, carbon fiber panels?
-
Dual as in 2v? On the jensen specs it says preamp or postamp voltage = 4volts
-
well I use to have the old flipdown from pioneer back in the day, and it quit working on me twice, sent it back twice both times they said it was ok, then it would work for about a week or two and quit again. I really like pioneer but I personally have had issues with them. So I'm not sure if i wanna go with them or the jensen. What do you mean 5v out and 2v out?

Hey guys, I have to do a asignment in class where I have to create a manual. Instead of trying to type this, I was wondering if there is one floating around out there that someone could point me in the direction of. My teacher said I could just copy one and give it to her. So if anyone knows where there is one on the web, lemme know. Thx Josh

Haha Mazda wid da Butterfly Doe's --; LoL

Don't be lazy, make one. Take pictures of redoing your install. Simple and its a plus. Makes your install look cleaner that it was before. I would rather be lazy I am in the middle of 3 essay's a profile sheet and this pamplet ;p If my chit gets here today I wouldn't mine making one legit, but I may not get a chance to start my install untill Friday. This could also be a enclosure manual... i.e. design, tuning, calc.
-
Hey Guys, Could anyone help me with a box design, I built some sealed ones, but I just am not sure how to calculate the ports and tuning with ported ones. Even with the Box calculator's. I am looking for a box to hold 2 15 BL's and a box for 1 15 BL. Tuned from 28-32 Hz, Not sure on what would sound better. 30"depth 42"width 20" heigth these are the specs I wanna work with, I can fit more but, this is really what I wanna stay around Anyway, Thankx to anyone that can help me with this. Josh

Jacob, These still priced till the end of October?

I am thinking of going with a Jensen product, anyone have any pro/cons on these HU's ? I really dont like the toough screens that much but screw it, I AM A try one. I will just have to keep some wipes in the car
-
Thx guys, I have heard that straight pipes sound good on these 2.3's.. Only reason I didn't pick up the v6 or 09 was they were getting rid of these to bring in the 09's and I got 6 grand off price, which helped considering my truck was chit on trade value. Mazda gave me the best trade in, but I still got shafted pretty hard.
-
Sounds good, It doesnt have to be very elaborate, I have heard that bacing like that can cause turbulance. I think the vertical bracing should do well.
-
Here's Mine =)
-
you could consider 2 12's, I'm not sure about the sub facing inside though... I've heard different things about this, mainly that it was more for looks and took away from both SQ and SPL... But I have just heard this, I'm not 100% on it
-
Yea I have some seen some crazy flex from box'es before, especially with that much power You might wanna throw a couple cross braces, just to be on the safe side. It would suck to have to add them in after.
-
Ok here are some starter pics, Pretty much bone stock, pics are kinda blurry but here is the before pics. I didn't take pics while I was building my box, But I plan on building 2 more So i will document them. I will get some pics of the amps and what not up soon. I'm just really busy with school and music right now. Threw a peace up a town down for the SSA guys (also known as G's up Ho's down) During this project I will be installing the system first, then I will be getting a new paint scheme, body kit, Forced injection system/Turbo/supercharger. Dunno which is really available yet, I know the Turbo Is but I have heard bad things about it. Oh and Rims... I will do the Rims/Bodykit/paint scheme all together This build will take me around 1-2 years, plan on doing alot of it myself, I can spray it, I just don't have a paint shop to do this in anymore like when I was younger... Anyways Thats the plan/ we will see how she devolopes as time goes by. I will be installing the system this week/weekend. Josh

You might wanna add some more bracing, nice build so far~!

Partially true but two of the shops I have received a few redoes from are some of the most expensive shops around. They both do big time installs and have been featured in hundreds of magazines. They aren't fast and they are far from cheap. They both charge for things they never even did and you can see the outcome. Like the old saying goes, Just because its the most expensive does not mean its the best. Quality shops are disappearing because less ppl care about quality, so many ppl are try to get over on ppl and over charge them and make shortcuts so they can make more money. They would rather hire an unexpierienced installer for cheap than have a good-qualified installer for twice that. This is not always the case but I see it happening more and more. In all aspects of life.
