Ok I have an 06 Scion xB. Not much room in the back for a box. I currently have a Sundown Audio Nightshade v1 and a Sundown Audio 1500v1. I would like to change systems and hopefully get a little louder. I will be going with top of line equipment. IE Digital Designs, Sundown, or PSI. What is everyone's opinion on what I should go with?

But what size and how many?

34w X 15.5h X 14.5d Don't really care about money

I have a 12" Nightshade. And I would like to just change out the sub, not the amp.

I have a Sundown Audio Nightshade v.1 12" sub dual 2ohm coil's. I was wondering what is the process of getting it reconed? How long does it normally take? And how much is it to be done? Thank you very much for your time and great products. Also is there any options to upgrade it any? And how much would those options be. And are they worth it? I have a sundownAudio SAZ1500d for amp. Big three done and tons of zero guage wire also running second battery.

About how long does it take to get it all done and sent back to me sir, rough estimate is fine?

Ok I have a saz1500d and a ns v.1 12 inch sub. Box is currently 1.45 cubes after sub displacement and current port. Port is a single 4inch aeroport which is as long as can be without touching sub, don't remember actual length, however, I do know I punched it into the port calculator on 12volt.com and it was 38.3 hz roughly. I want to bring it down to about 32-34hz. My question is would it make a big difference if I used a 3inch port with my flared ends of my 4inch aeroport? Or should I just go with two 2 inch aeroports. I would like to use what I have currently but wanted some answers to this question. Second question, should I just keep what I have since its a higher freq and just lean more towards spl or am I actually hurting my spl because its higher then the normal 32 hz range? I want the best of both worlds and with the rest of my system and my awesome products from Sundown Audio, I should be able to be pretty good at both. If it helps any the rest of my system consists of old school Boston Acoustics Pro series components up front, running off an old school USAmps 4 channel. Big 3 done and zero guage wire everywhere. Lastly, a second battery which is a kinetik. Head unit is a Pioneer Premier. So like I said all of this should be able to give me pretty good sound quality and spl. Any help is greatly appreciated, 06 Scion xB

I guess I just gotta get it metered somewhere. But I do appreciate it everyone. I did ask a similar question to this when I first got my nightshade. People said I should do around a 140. But now that I got it all this way and I hear what its like I am thinking real hard about going alot bigger. Maybe two 12" Nightshades and a 3500. I will do my homework and see how much it'll cost me for bigger alternator, more batteries and more cable. I wanna be a bunch louder. But I know I won't do any other company then Sundown.

What kinda numbers do you think I can achieve with this setup? Car is an 06 Scion xB, currently I have stock battery up front, and a Kinetic 800 in back. Big 3 is done and dynamat everywhere so far but roof. Only cause I ran out of money. Box is 1.44 tuned to 38 hz sub up port to passenger side. Port is a single 4" aeroport. I made box so there is roughly 8 and a half inches to side of truck. 3/4" mdf except top plate top plate is two layers of 3/4. Box has lots of bracing. Just a note this is a version one of the nightshade. And is there anything I can try to gain a little bit more db's. Also, if it helps any head unit is a Pioneer Premier. Any help is greatly appreciated.

What numbers do you think I am looking at with one of these and two 1500's?

What do you say is a rough estimate on box size in cubes for a single 12 when these come out? I don't have alot of room in my xB but I sure would like to put one of these suckers in there. If I don't have enough room, I might say screw it and make a wall for a single 15 or 18.

That's good cause I wasn't sure if I should put it in or not. Right now its sitting there collecting dust in my storage shed of goodies. And I was just thinking about putting it in and wasn't sure. Currently set up is stock battery, two runs of 4 gauge to back batt. 4 gauge to amp. Yes, I know I need to upgrade that stuff. I am looking right now to buy a 25 foot spool of 0 gauge, maybe 50 if right price. And I just purchased a epic 160 for $45 bucks so thats about to go in, next week.

Do you think I will need to upgrade my alternator? I have an 2006 Scion xB with a stock battery up front. I have a Kinetik 600 in back and a 3 farad cap. That feeds one sundown 1500. Also have big 3 done. I am probably going to upgrade wiring again and do two runs of 0 gauge from front to back battery and just do 0 to cap and amp. I am also looking into uprading stock battery to a kinetik also. Should I just do all of this and alternator at same time and say screw it. That way I know I have enough juice if I wanna ever upgrade to a second 1500 and second sub.

There is one other thing that would make me a little happier, and that is a score on a TL. I wanna get it metered. I have a epic 160 meter that I know its no where close to a TL meter, but right now its all I got. I will test on that redo all the settings on amp and headunit then get it metered on a TL. I am hoping for around a 142 or 143. But I am pretty sure I will be happy with above 140. We will see though.

I just wanted to say thank you for your great products Jacob. I just put my system in the other day. It consists of 1-12"Sundown Audio Nightshade, a Sundown Audio SAZ-1500D, an old school USamps 4 channel powering a pioneer component set with a Pioneer Premier head unit. The Sundown audio equipment is amazing. Couldn't be any happier with the output. I haven't had it tested yet, but as soon as I do, I will post results. And the assistance making the box and everything about Sundown Audio, is what is going to keep your name and company getting bigger and better. I will definitly be telling all my fellow Army friends about your products, your company and best of all your customer service. Please keep up the good work and Thank you again. Forgot to mention box is 1.41 cubes sub up port to the side. Port is 4" aeroport. Tuned to 36.5hz. The only thing that would make mine and alot of others on here system better would be a component set of Sundown Audio.

I am getting ready to make a box and need to know two things. I am building a box for a nightshade 12 and I got an aeroport. The box is going to be sub up port on the side 1) Can the port be inside like old times? The only reason I am asking is all I see nowadays with aeroports is crx style with ports out of box. Will I lose db's by putting port in instead of out? 2) If so how many cubes roughly would it take up? Port will be 15.5 inches long and its a 4 inch aeroport. I am trying to see what I need to make dimensions of box if port is in instead of out. I just want the best possible setup I can get for what equipment I have.

Thank you

I am getting ready to buy the sundown 100.4 amp and I have never done this before, but really want to try it. I am going to run the tweets of two channels and the mids off the other two channels. How do I set up the crossovers to do this? I know this may be a dumb question but I have always had external crossover's and want to run this way. Please help.

10-4 I will get those and get back to you. Thank you for quick response though.
-
Would it be bad to have the box closer to 1.4 then 1.5 cubes for one 12 inch nightshade?
-
Should a box 2.75 cubes tuned to 40 hz be alright for a single nightshade 12?
-
Does it make a difference if some of aeroport is in box? I don't have alot of room so I was planning on putting some of port in and some out of box. Since I need 16 or so inches of port.
-
Thank you very much. I know my wife hates it but my Christmas is getting expensive and I love it.
-
If I build a crx style box with sub up port to side with an aeroport, how much of port can be in box? Would it make a difference if I put half in half out of box? Also where can I get a 4" aeroport?

Will be sending money order Monday morning for the last D2.
