    Welcome to the IHoP

Lucas makes some good stuffs. Most california cars dont suffer from dirty injectors because of all the fuel additives. I guess its good in a way.

I wouldnt call it a total hack job. More,I dont know how to properly use and apply resin/fibreglass. Woodworking skills arent to bad, but a couple of rounded edges wouldve helped the look a lot. Car looks stupid as well. Id rather take that firebird, at least its not riced out.

Why do people feel the need to leave out such useful information about cars they are selling on craigslist. I think most people would want to know about a broken windsheild, mileage and what kind of transmission it has.

I do! I just don't feel like driving a manual with right hand drive...thanks, but no thanks. It'd be like learning to drive all over again... Most are automatic

Which is best for me sealed or ported?

No. Port it, tune in the mid to low 30hz range.

Rap usually sounds louder on ported systems due to its bass heavy style. It doesn't always sound better though. If you aren't concerned so much about the quality of the sound compared to overall loudness then ported is more suited for your needs. Just be sure you've got enough room for a ported enclosure as they tend to be about double the size of a sealed enclosure

Well I had quite an interesting experience today. Took a ride in my first RHD vehicle. Not only was it RHD, it was imported from Japan. They call it a Mistubishi Delica. Quite an interesting ride as you sit directly above the front axle. Interior was very nice and spacious. Nothing like an american van at all inside, for its year it puts pretty much anything north america made to shame. You will probably never see one in the US as they are grey imports. Canada's laws are a bit lax and only require very minor changes as well as the vehicle being over 15yrs old. You can see on the roof 2 windows, there are electronic sunshades that come down to block the light, quite a nifty feature. The one below is the high roof version ( same mode i rode in) they have a short roof one as well

I demoed mine on an old school orion hcca, not shure what the output was at 4ohms, possibly 800w or so. Sub took it like a champ, didnt even smell like glue after we gave it the ole run through

By some space constraints I think you stuck with sealed. IMO they sound way better sealed though, but I am also far from a basshead. The real question is how much space do you have? *a single RLi8 ported takes way more space than an RLP sealed. WAY Hardly. They dont call them cannon ports for nothing...

I believe it was .5ft^3 tuned to 47hz. I used industrial plastic wrap tubes for ports The sealed was .5ft^3 too if im not mistaken how was output in the .5ft3 sealed and how much power? and how was the low end in the ported It was in a charger in the rear deck through the stock opening. Sounds really good actually. Probably around 500+ rms Ported the low end is quite good for the tuning i had. It takes quite a bit to overpower them so even though it was unloading it wasnt reaching mechanical limits nor thermal lmits

    The 18's Are In

I hope there are more ports on the other side because whats currently there is far from sufficient.
