what advantage would steel have over wood in this case ? Welding doesnt look that easy..... As Dennis said, ideas are welcome

As far as I know, i will be the one doing the wood work since i have the tools. To secure it i think a couple screws in the brace below the window will hold it. Nothing that will cause a visible hole on the outside. Steel isnt cheap to cut or weld.

I noticed that that guy didnt put the trim panel back on the bottom of the window.

Hardboard. kinda like peg board but without the peg holes At 1/4" thick, its pretty dang strong.

Just wondering...... Which would have a more beneficial increase in power... cat back or headers ? I've been perma-pissed for about 10-12 years now. A lot of what most people consider small things piss me off. It isn't healthy at all, but whatever. I've noticed I've been getting more and more intolerant of ignorant and inconsiderate people lately....people that cut you off in line, don't have any sense of awareness on the road...I'm starting to really, really, really not give a flying fuck. It's a prime reason why I despise shopping. Unless it's 2AM and there's no one else in the store. Because invariably, people will roll their carts at 1.5MPH down the aisles, just yakking it up and having a grand 'ol time while I'm navigating behind their fat asses trying to find where the soft drinks are. Or, when I finally get to the checkout, some lady with 40 items pulls in front of me in the express lane and my cart with six items. I was trying to take her face off with the look I was giving her...only getting a meek "oh, I'm sorry, I didn't see you".
