A second battery will help with dimming. That’s a lot of power coming off a stock electrical.- 21 replies

Thought would be louder. I guess 143 is pretty loud. 150 must be crazy. Eventually I’ll be adding a third 12 and upgrading to the hd 15k

So they cut off the factory harness and tied into the wires directly ? And what do you mean fancy the harness back together? You have the factory female end?- 21 replies

Quad 10" enclosure builds / Focal Utopia Be #7 install

Oh ok gotcha. Did you graph out the new Box to get a prediction of the output. How many man hours are in the box? Looks intricate but it seems you built it pretty fast -

Is it going in the same vehicle, if so what were your goals in creating this enclosure over the other. -

So you made another enclosure? Similar concept but port on the bottom? -
Thanks for the tip. I seen videos where they said use 220 so I did and I felt like I fucked it up lol. But that steel wool should do a nice light scuff job. I should’ve used the wood conditioner. After this project I looked up how to stain and finish a wood and that conditioner makes a big difference in helping eliminate blotching. And what not. What type of wood did you use? The grains didn’t pop as I anticipated. I used birch. I was thinking I should’ve burned it a bit first to maleness the grains dark. But idk. It’s all new to me lol

That box is amazing. The designs and all the factors taken into account to reach the end goal. Great work -
Whoop look who’s back. Lol he liked it so I got it back to make it look pretty. I saw miles dye his box and I liked it so went ahead and tried my hand at wood dyeing. Tried to color match my friends truck but it came out more on the green side. I used the spray can lacquer but it it just wasn’t leaving a nice thick coat of clear so I got impatient and switched to the brush on poly lol. i bed lined the back and under the box and stained cleared and tried to buff all the visible parts. I also vinyl wrapped the spacers to help accent the box. All in all I’ll try more projects with this stain and clear coat. Maybe if I added more coats of clear it would’ve gave that thick coat I was looking forward.

But based off of what you said and assuming your equipment is compatable. If your tweeter has an in-line cross over I’d wire it in parallel with your 6.5 to channel 1/2, and 6x9 to 3/4. Rca front to 1/2 rear to 3/4 and sub to the other amp.
