Never really heard of those. I'll look into them
-
You looked into the Rockford 8" pro audios? Those are loud and pretty shallow
-
Thank you !

First time I ever had to make a port with 2 bends lol I think I may have done something wrong
-
Hey guys I got a pair of 12" dss ethos that I had lying around , and finally gonna install it in my Altima. Anyways I had it in my challenger and it sounded great. Got rid of the challenger and forgot how I did the box. So I went on the website and was surprised when it said 40sq inches for 1.5 ft3. So if I wanted a 3 cubes box it would need 80 sq inches. I did the port length calculator and with that port area I would need a port length of like 60" lol So so I wanna ask if anyone has stuck to the recommendations to the T and hat results did they get.
-
Got a new beefier battery but it's slightly improved. But I know for a fact it should sound louder. So I believe it's the box. Lol gotta re make it this weekend.had the port at 5.5 x 12.5 and like 56" long and it's loud on certain few notes and blah on majority lol.

Sweet! Glad you have a system where there is no desire for more ! Lol
-
Move a lot of air?how big is your port and what are you tuned too? And that's crazy, 10's in the doors.
-
Nice build how does it sound
-
So I redid the box sounds better cros the board. But I gotta admit the precvious box I had hit super hard on some notes. Lol but I think I need to get a new battery for the front. I noticed it would clip clip rather easy and so I trouble shoot it and foun my front battery is at it's ends. I had it for about 5 years. So hopefully a new battery will increase the boom lol

What was the size of your port? You made an L port?
-
If you like it I'll like it. Imma go ahead and build a box around that size. I always wanted to try the higher models the tridents but i didn't know how to go about getting em. Since his web page is pretty much always the same lol only ethos

No I haven't hit him up. He did chat with me before I purchased them back when he had his pre order going on. And ok guess I'll use a large port are like a 20 or so per cube

Jeep Wrangler JK Double Din upgrade help!
ManzKea replied to 99gpgtx's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I have a 2011 Jeep jku and I got the larger version of that pioneer you posted. it's the avh -x4800bs. I love it , has a great screen , option to change the screen color scheme and button colors. Animated backgrounds or you could upload your own pic. Has all the pre amp outputs I needed. 6 total. Makes a great improvements on the stock sounds. I simply switched it with the stock and the quality improved noticeably. Be be sure to get the micro relay thing to watch videos while driving. You're gonna need that to mess with the Bluetooth settings. Also I used a metra dash kit and wiring harness. Worked like a charm. Oh and since you're back there I suggest getting the steering wheel interface thing so you can keep your steering wheel functions for the radio. I used the ones made by axxess. Real simple and it programmed itself. -
So after a long time of admiring and contemplating the ssa evil, I was pleastly surprised that they offer it in 12" now. Did a lot of question asking, researching and lucky for me the tax sale started , so I finally went ahead and purchased two and a pair of the evil Mids. Because of the build time it gives me time to stack up some money for an amp to push it. Ive tried searching for info on these but there's not that many info I was able to find on the 12s and on the mids. So I'll be sure to get some vids up and post my experience with it to help any future bass heads who wanna know more about these. Can't wait, it was a hard decision between these and the fi sp4v2. But honestly if I didn't show off those sexy magnets, the fi would've lost that wow factor, well atleast for me. Because they seem so similar, that cool magnet is what set them apart in my eyes. But I do hope that I get to experience at least half of the hype people put on ssa products . First ssa product , very excited. **Oh,this is going in a Jeep Wrangler jku if anyone was wondering. Ported to spec. Trying to get loud ,ground pounder, move some air etc etc.

Oh man you're getting me more and more excited. I haven't ran much high end subwoofers before. I had an L7 a long time ago which I thought was bomb! Then I got a re sxxv2 and heard the difference it had loudness and it sounded good. With the kickers I was young and just wanted boom boom but the re opened up a new area for me. And then a few years ago I purchased some dss ethos when they first came out and that just took the cake. So now I'm even more wagered to hear the evils. I had had some second guess because it's hard to find stuff on the evils that's recent. Usually it's like from a few years ago or it's a setup with like 6 18s or 15s. So I was beginning to wonder if it's as good as they say why aren't there more people repping it. Like for instance sundown and the x model or zv4/5 models. Lol guess I gotta be the change I wanna see

Evil 12" coming soon. Finally
ManzKea replied to Mark LaFountain's topic in Sound Solutions Audio (SSA®)
Why is shipping so high? I brought my rims mounted with 35" tires and the shipping was $640. That's high too but I'm sure it's way heavier than a couple of subs. Sorry very off off topic but figured I'd get more accurate answers here than asking The Whole forum -
That customer service ain't no lie. Your response to my email is one of the biggest reason I felt comfortable going with you guys.
-
Thats cool you have a bridge to access your property
-
That door panel looking sick can't wait till it gets wrapped and takes shape
-
Awesome sent. Im eager regarding how long the shipping will be. I'm sure there will be a lot of orders
-
So with the smell gone, gains down a bit, do you like your sub? Is it slamming as you hoped it would?
-
Hey guys, I've noticed some companies offer neo subs and there're priced really high compared to the other higher model subs they offer. For example I was looking at the D.C. Lvl 5 and 6 and I saw the D.C. Neos. They were higher priced but the rms was lower than the lvl 6. So I was just wondering what warrants the price mark up. Are they under rated and offer a lot of pros or something ? I also seen that fi audio Btl neos subs and they look hella sweet. And the price is reasonable. But yea I tried to search the pros and cons, and all I could find was the weight and I think cooling or something like that. Figured I'd ask I'm sure someone with a lot of knowledge would chime in.

I had a challenger too! I committed to the bass and made like a half wall in my backseat for two 12's that trunk is so tiny. But loved how the battery was in the trunk. And I was like , I rather have a big trunk to throw stuff in, rather than put it in the backseat. Which is a hassle in itself
