WRONGG! no small engine classes, we learn that in grade 9 metal class, odd I know. Im talking about having a hoist, couple lines of air, engine crane, so you can do engine swaps, brake jobs, trouble shoot, but my teacher doesnt like touching certain stuff like rebuilding trannys, he use to be a certified mech at gm/chev dealer working on trucks, now he teaches. 1 thing about tech teachers is that they are so f*ckn cool, the best classes to be in, teachers dont care what you do, and at the end of the day you learn something and have fun!

Should I(electrical question)
pear_b replied to tc3k101's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
1 run will be sufficient for that power, but 2 wouldnt hurt -

Audioque amps
pear_b replied to 1200 bandit's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
not many fans here, on ca, and smd theres more fans of these amps, similar to DD amps, they do rated power, and seem to have quite the bit of support else where, no experience on them however. -

4 or 2 channel amp?
pear_b replied to T0mmysee's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Im looking at buying a 4 channel amp, same boat as him, going to be buying a component set, with tweeter, and 6.5, I know to run them off 2 channels, but I found this amp, here Kenwood KAC-X40 4 Channel Liquidation, its going for $200 CAD, so im thinking im going to pick it up tomorrow, but Im wondering, ill only be using 2 channels, what does "bridging" mean, could i bridge 2 channels, so I would get 2, and therefore increase in power? -

Alpine CDA-9886
pear_b replied to ohhsosmooth's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I was looking into the alpine 9886 too, 9887 was too much, decided to go with the pioneer 6000ub, you can find them cheaper online now, and have the same features as the alpine, and quality, either 2 you can go wrong! -
hes looking for $100 but he told me hed go a lil cheaper, prob $75 a sub CAD, should I cash in and grab 2? hes upgrading to SX's i believe.
-
I could get my hands on a pair, 3, or 4 RE SE's rated 600, but we all know RE can take the extra power so they had 1200 on them. Hes letting them go cheap, should I cash in on them, or get what I was planning on doing 15" Fi BL.
-
any1, looknf or some insightt and helpp!
-
recommended specs for that 15" is atleast 3.0 and 1200 wont get that sub moving, double the power and you should be good to go i would think.
-
my buddy has 4 re se's 10" wired to 2 ohm on 4800 watts clean, 1200 each, tuned 38-40 hz musiclly it does 146 db, they sound soooo clean but not loud enough so i think hes looking into some mt's or xxx's
-
Im in search of a component set, now their not going to be amplified for right now atleast until I get more things, just going to run them off my hu which puts out like 15-20 rms. I ran into these and want some opinions as I dont know much or many people running CDT speakers. Heres the link, CDT on Wooferetc
-
the SX can take the extra power, my bud is pushing 1200 to his little 600 rms SE's, CLEAN Power too!
