are you trying to prove to your friend that xxx subwoofer is better than the other like your other thread?
-
Theres a lot of factors involving that tell him. Theres how many watts hes goina run, is his electrical system good, will be be running 12 v or 16 v system, placement of speackers, and of course type of box. A pretty rough estimate in okay conditions culd prob hit around 150 ish.

havnt rode it yet, ive heard/seen a few stairmasters that have delammed, but UNION bindings r pretty cool. But i stick with technines. I like to rock the smaller companies, not the usual burton, forum, etc.

Yea he is looking at competing but hes sort of arrogant and cocky so he told me to tune super high. I got it cleared up, thanks guys.

I was thinking of tuning a 15" BL at 32-36 hz when I told my buddy he said I have it completely wrong. He told me that the tuning is way too low, and that hes going to be tuning his new box to around 50 hz. He told me simply because music is higher than the 32-36 range, and that I should be tuning in the 40's. Could someone explain this to me, thanks.

I know someone who owns their own small custom shop and this work totally blows it away. Where is FC located?
-
Yea man, im interested in seeing the results when you get the tests done.

I discovered this on a Honda forum that someone had posted, the description of the box are in the web browsers little tag (this is how it is using firefox). They range from 1-2 subs, and 2 cf all the way to 4/5 cf. The tuning is a little high on a few of them from 35-37 hz, but theres some lower. I think this may help a few out, Sub Box Diagrams

I agree with Brutal, shops prices are jaked because they need to make a profit. Buy online, and itll be cheaper. Second thing is JL is alot pricier than most companies out there. FI and Sundown are quality and affordable.

I live in Canada too so i was interested in the shipping quote. One thing that might help you out man is if you get it sent to a city/town close to the border in US, it'll save you alot of money because UPS charges an arm and a leg. From there you can not declare it at the border and save yourself even more money, the tax part, or declare it and be charged tax. Just a thought, living 1 hour away from the border has really helped me in a couple of my purchases for other things.

Hey guys, I was originally thinking I was going to go with 2 FI Q 10" or Icons, but moneys tight as many of you would agree. So ive decided 1 FI BL 15" would be better, going to be running off a SAE 1200. 1 thing im wondering is if I would have enough enclosure for the sub. I ran some numbers and I can get 15h X 32w X 12d without sacrificing much of my trunk which i think turns out to be around 3.4 ft. What im wondering is if that would be enough space, or if I should get a little more like 3.5 after displacement and port. Could someone also explain to me about the significance of port area. Im guessing the larger port the louder? Or the more air moves?
-
and im thinking of putting a 15" bl in 3.0-3.5 ft ported of course. i think im goina get flamed lol

I signed up a week or two ago so I thought it would be cool to introduce myself. Im from ontario, Canada and am just starting out. Im 17 and this would be my first system, going in a 91 accord. Hope to learn a lot from everyone, and yea.
